I didn't bother tuning in to the radio to listen to the remainder of the show, as a sort of 'tit for tat'.
I listened to every show from launch until the Friday night he pretended his bosses imposed a co-presenter on him and was awkward all night, saying he was getting emails from the bosses and his agent as though he was going to lose his job or something.

It was obviously a load of crap from the boy who has been crying wolf for a decade, but it was such boring and annoying crap that I switched off and never listened to the show since. It's not "tit for tat" or a flounce, it's more that it burst a listening bubble and I haven't been bothered to tune in again.

I also used to listen to the Gould brothers but keep forgetting about them since then too. I was annoyed that I missed a week of George Galloway covering. I haven't heard him on TalkRadio yet, but his usual trend is to start off very interesting on the stations he appears on before inevitably sinking into a lazy, insular, repetitive show after a while. A bit like when Mike Dickin seemed to abandon his traditional interesting, engaging broadcasting in favour of a monotonous vendetta against authorities hounding motorists.

Be fair - the Periscope isn't the show, it's an added extra that's nice to have. And I know that if I'm having a bit of a rubbish afternoon at work I wouldn't be very eager to have a webcam with hundreds of people watching my every move... Especially as it seems to get a bit negative on there at times.

I don't find Periscope negative at all, we are a good little group and soon weed out and block any troublemakers.

its weird how people hear things differently. I really enjoyed Wednesday's show. the thing with Kath was obviously a silly moment but it was hardly serious and people should really get over it-- Kath did. as for it not sounding professional, in the nicest possible way, thats why I like Iain's show-- its a bit weird and different and not as polished as other shows on the radio and there will be wind-ups and silly arguments... but at least they aren't talking about brexit, corbyn or immigrants so whats not to like. Iain said yesterday on twitter and I think he's right, its odd how he has one show that people think is bad and they say stuff like 'haven't listened since' or 'going to listen to old shows i'm bored of him now'.

Got to admit though some of the old LBC/absolute/Virgin shows were true genius.

I'm over it. And I like the haphazardness of the show or I wouldn't be a loser every night. Many of the other scopers thought as I did, I was by no means alone.

Straight-to-air was back for the last hour of the show last night. He suggested it might be back for the last hour each Friday. Iain and Kath will be doing the show from Edinburgh on 12 August but they need an internet connection. Iain asked Sarah from Edinburgh if they could use her internet at her house and she was thrilled.

Kath hadn't been in the studio with Iain since the argument on Wednesday night but Rob phoned in with a 90s quiz so he asked her to go into the studio for that.

Digital Spy got a couple of mentions!

When was the 90s quiz? Im sure Ive listened to most of the show but havent heard that yet!

Just heard back the bit with the pisshead in charge of a minor. Really horrible to listen to but also compelling.

Lulzy as ever, delivered as a South Yorkshireman with a fluctuating Scottish twang. Thanks for posting.

I'm surprised there's not been any chat about Spuggy, or whatever the fella's name was - or was that what was removed..? Harrowing call - I thought Iain handled it well under the circumstances...

Unlike the night he called his produce a dick live on air. He would not let it go...it was very uncomfortable listening. He has a very viscous side to his nature it would appear to me.

Viscous? I wouldn't call him thick. He's very intelligent and well educated.

And the argument with the producer was a Bit, clearly.

Some people have got short memories. We have to remember that until 21 March, we hadn't had this kind of radio since November 2011, or 2007 on an all talk station. Arguably, we are living through a golden age of speech based radio thanks to talkRADIO. It may not last, so let's enjoy it while we can.

I was there from the beginning of the old ncarnation of Talkradio.
I used to love Ian Collins and the Creatures of the Night, James whale and Ash, and Tommy Boyd! Amazing I ever got any Sleep.
Ps. What on earth has happened to Ian Collins. He changed his whole image (not very flattering) and suddenly became a political commenter and general bore on the radio. Back in the day his show was sheer genius.

I'd really advise you to watch the video, where it's obvious they're both smiling even though they're needling each other a bit.
