I like listening to calls like that. Not really a full on complaint though and he used to get great complaining calls on LBC. He tried to make his point as gently as possible, trying to make it sound as less like a complaint as possible. Ultimately though, complaints of that nature won't change what Iain does. Shortly afterwards he went on a mega Beach Boys geek off with Triss and Holly!”
I'm the opposite. The bits of the show I like the least are the interviews, and not necessarily just the Beach Boys related stuff. If I know the show's gonna kick off with an interview, I usually don't tune in until about half past. Which kind of makes sense in that my favourite part of the show is its unpredictability. I.e. Iain having a sing off with some guy who thinks Miley Cyrus is listening and is getting told to keep it down from his mum, or Rob Burnett ringing in with a snooker based fantasy game, haha!
Having said that though, the interviews are a relatively small portion of the show, and people like them, so I'd say the balance is pretty much spot on.

I find myself turning off when he calls in as well, like last night. The guy's got problems and his 'I hate everybody' shtick gets old.
