The second hour of last night's show was quite remarkable. After Russell's heartbreaking call, where he describes how he got bullied out of doing his radio show in Ireland, Russ' call was as awkward as many of his previous ones. And pompous Barry's attempt of wordplay was tossed aside easily.

Russ's call was a funny one wasn't it? He doesn't half get defensive.

Iain: "Out of interest, and I'm happy you're back, but why did you start ringing in again?"
Russ: "Well if you're going to be like that...."

Russell's call was horrible, alledgedly being bullied out of a job he loved. Interesting that Iain asked for the video footage, maybe it's his newest project for justice after the "Gerry Project"

Iain just announced he will be presenting the New Year's Eve show, 9pm to 1am. He said on Twitter he is "open to suggestions on how to make it super special".

He should punch a listener in the face for it, right on the stroke of midnight.

I wonder if he'll have several listeners on air as the new year begins, as Bill Buckley used to do on LBC.

How strange that Nigel doesn't know the date or month that Christmas is in. I can understand Iain's shock

Wow, I don't think any of us quite realised how vulnerable Nigel is. It's become more apparent since realising the song however tonight went to a completely different level.

A little bit of wee came out when I heard that.

Think he's talking about his Christmas break he said last week that he needed a week off.

Same here. I like Bob Mills, but always miss Iain when he's not on.

I listened for the first hour and yes there were calls - Alan, Jonathan and Gerry that I heard. Bob is a chatty fella like Iain is, so it was ok.
