Anyone who knows me from the old days on here will know that my radio legends have always been Clive Bull and Nick Abbot.

I now have a new king. Iain Lee is the greatest presenter on any speech station, anywhere, ever.

That is all.

I actually believed Prof Joseph Lehman was real for awhile, but I was online while listening and noticed that he didn't exist , but Joseph Lehman of the Makinac Centre

https://www.google.com/search?q=+Pro...utf-8&oe=utf-8'

Might be wondering why people are emailing him with sexual organs on their heads
Sounded suspiciously like the the computer expert Iain used to have on his LBC shows, but rather than a Scottish accent he was putting on an American one.

There was a good half hour or so last night which talk radio geeks would have found particularly entertaining.

The Mike Allen guy came back on again last night to say he was upset at the way his previous drunk call was critiqued. That caused a bit of awkwardness which usually makes for compelling listening. Like when Russ calls.

Gatford and Iain then talked about how Iain likes Ian Collins but not his current show and how the immediate boss doesn't mind Iain talking about other stations and other shows but the very senior boss wasn't so keen.

Then the following callers were on together and bizarrely they both obsessed about Eloise at the same time.

I didnt hear the original "Mike Allen" call until I listened to the podcast of that show today. What an interesting call that was...

Hoping that part 2 is on the next podcast now I have the full story.

Just for interest, do you prefer the official podcast because you only have time to listen to an hour a day, or do you like the fact that you are getting the "best bits", or is it because other ways of listening are inconvenient, or some other reason?

(I should of course recommend that everyone should download the official podcast, even if you use the Listen Again service or make your own recordings.)

I listen to the official "best of" purely for reasons of time. I dont often get to listen to the whole podcast but I try and keep up!

The guy called in a few weeks ago and was a bit of a dick then, and was also a bit of a dick tonight. Simple.

That is a very bold statement .He is good but the greatest ever ?
Let's just say that I've never heard such an honest and genuine presenter and I find that unique amongst all others I've heard. It's the ONLY speech show I enjoy these days.

I know Iain doesn't like praise which is why he told me to delete my account. That pleases me, it's rather an honour, like being told to 'F off' by Billy Connolly would be!

And yes, makeba, my huge mistake leaving Danny Baker out of my legends list!

And AMCHRISNORTH80, if you are referring to me, I see nothing wrong in praising people I enjoy listening to, so get over it.

Says to the guy, "There's no talking down on this show," and then proceeds to talk down to him for the next 5 minutes. And obviously anyone who wants to discuss the very real threat of Islamic terrorism is a complete racist, right?

Yes, the show threads carry on over several weeks. Can be confusing for those who miss bits, I get that, but it's the way I like to work. It all makes sense to me.

Because I like the show. I just keep forgetting that we're not allowed to criticise in any way.

No. That doesn't imply that at all. If I meant racist, I'd say racist. It is a comment on the lazy, hatred filled phone in radio that can be heard at most times of the day on speech based radio. But, I think you knew that and you're just trying to be awkward.
