Because I like the show. I just keep forgetting that we're not allowed to criticise in any way.
You could call Iain and talk to him about it.

You're allowed to criticise. I'm allowed to defend myself. Simple.

No. That doesn't imply that at all. If I meant racist, I'd say racist. It is a comment on the lazy, hatred filled phone in radio that can be heard at most times of the day on speech based radio. But, I think you knew that and you're just trying to be awkward.
I'm not at all. It certainly implied that you thought that caller was the type of person that would 'point at people of a different colour/religion and go "urgh"', and anyone who would do that I would consider racist so it was a logical conclusion to draw.

You're allowed to criticise. I'm allowed to defend myself. Simple. Isn't it?
Well consider yourself criticised and defended. Can we hug it out now?

Men are not as good as women at multitasking, but you're doing OK, considering you're also on-air.

(You called me a t*** on Periscope the other week, I think I'm getting to like it!)

He's been a regular contributor to the talksport thread for a while (although I don't agree with his views there ever pretty much!). But he takes the time to cut audio out and link to it, assuming it's not against the rules there is nothing stopping you from making the same effort.

Isnt somebody supposed to be doing a radio show, instead of bantering on a internet forum?

I'm feeling a bit left out.

I've made 62 (now 63) comments on this thread & the subject of it hasn't made a rude comment about me once.

I think he is 'doing a Steve Allen' i.e. making rude comments in order to attract you Radiomaniac.

Iain you're a total MUPPET, your beard makes you look like FAGIN and your show is a load of CR@P nonsense.

There, that should get a favourable response back when he gets up.

How do you think I feel? I started the damn thread and he's never once called me a dick. 😥

There were not many calls during straight-to-air last night so Iain was talking about no longer doing it. Caller numbers in general seem very variable from show to show. Short of doing a proper statistical analysis (a la A-Level maths) I think it is hard to tell whether caller numbers for the main part of the show or the straight-to-air section have declined, increased or neither.

It is probably fair to say that the new cheaper phone number doesn't seem to have made a massive difference to Iain's show. When the old number was in operation he had nights with many calls (even during straight-to-air where it would have been particularly expensive) and some with few calls.
