I've noticed the same thing, though I haven't actually tried to top mine up.

The price guide and other documentation clearly states that 3-2-1 rates are in effect so you should be able to just add the credit
I’ve just found the answer to my own question on the hukd site and someone has said the International Cash top-ups starting at £2 are indeed bog standard top-ups and are nothing more than a standard PAYG top up.

I assume they are trying to make the point you can use the sim in their at home countries by calling them International cash but for me it just confusing things.

Just to confirm I've bought a £2 International Cash top up and its now in my account with the words "Does not expire".

Oh good, if you are using it that proves it. I saw mention elsewhere that been charging 10p and the website was wrong. But they must have done it wrong!
The more expensive mobile broadband PAYG sims with higher amounts of data, texts are charged at 10p each.

Talking about these higher priced sims, they do a 12GB mobile data sim for 30.00 and it expires after 12 months. It may be suitable for some, and you are not restricted to putting into only an Android or apple device like EE’s mobile broadband PAYG sims.

I have one of these SIMs. I used the 1GB and have now finally registered it owing the difficulty of doing that in an iPad. There is no sign of the free data even though it's now confirmed as registered.

Any advice ?

Did you register it through the special data reward page (that you access using the iPad in this case)?

The free data was applied immediately in my case

Can you link me to it again, please ? I do remember trying to use when I got the SIMs on the 12/04 but the page didn't exist ! The URL was on the envelope that housed the SIM but went nowhere.

www.three.co.uk/freedata should work - you have to be connected using 3G/4G (you don't need any existing data allowances), not wifi

I've just gone for the AYCE Data, 200 mins & unlimited texts for £23 1 month rolling it now includes 30GB Tethering/Hotspot which is perfectly acceptable!

Does http://devicereg.three.hostedservice.net/ work? This is the site that the other address goes to

I noticed a while back that I can't actually access three.co.uk at all on my phone (which is on a contract). Maybe it's not just me?

Thank you! That worked perfectly (in so far as you have to turn wifi off to register then back on to get the follow-up email in order to complete registration and enable the data!).

Brilliant. I'll do the other SIM now.

Just FYI - TiT doesn't work nor 2G roaming either on EE with it

So you can just top up this sim for £2 and it receives and makes voice calls?

How many Data Reward SIMs can you have? I've already got 2 Data Reward SIMs and 2 Freedom Pop SIMs (that I got in a recent 99p offer) so I get 800 MB free per month.

If you have to order these sims from three, I'm not sure.

If you don't, possibly as many of these sims as you really need.

Three send them in the post for free if you order online. The ones with 1 GB of data can be obtained online or in Three shops. You can also get then on eBay for 99p.

Surely someone must have thought about getting 10 or more of them, meaning that you never need to pay for data? Or is there some kind of system to stop such "abuse"?

I think the deterrent to accumulating hundreds of cards is swapping SIM cards.

How do you keep track Jon with what I assume is a significant if not mammoth collection of SIM cards!? (Not Three Data Reward SIM cards, just SIM cards in general?)

Sometimes I wonder myself! Luckily I have each SIM in a device, which means they don't get lost.

I have 2 both registered to myself and on my my3 account without a problem so far
