Jess Glynn: this year's most overplayed artist?
I know Adele gets a lot of airtime, but my two local radio stations (cool fm and q) really need to stop their obsession with her.
Why do radio stations pick a few songs and play them to death? I never want to hear happy by pharell ever again as it was everywhere for about a year. |

Her songs are basic and she has the star power of a fork. No one will know who she is in 5 years time.

I really like Jess! Her music is catchy, appealing and nice to dance to. I think she has a strong voice too.
I think she's quite refreshing in a world where it seems like every female solo artist is either singing miserable songs about love and loss, or trying to be raunchy and provocative. She's got success because people enjoy her music and I like that.

She uses too much vibrato for my liking. Her songs are catchy though

I don't think she sounds good live at all. Her voice is so shaky and also she always looks so I unconfident and nervous whenever she performs.

If I hear "So, darling hold my hand...!" one more time!
I do like her really, but all her songs are very similar. That's the problem with people like Jess and Ellie Goulding who market their voice as unique or distinctive, it makes it hard for them to experiment and try different things.

She is so unremarkable. With so many strong female artists out there why is she getting so much praise? I know the UK love a ghetto girl success story but we already have Adele for that.
Her career seems similar to that of Sophie Ellis Bexter. |

I like her but most of the songs from her album all sound similar. Hopefully her next one will be a bit more experimental.

I loved her early collaborations back in 2014 but her own stuff is awful. I don't get how she's so highly regarded. I hear her music a lot and I just don't get it at all.

The first I ever heard her (or heard of her) was on the Jools Holland's Hootenanny for New Year's Eve 2015 . Hers was the only music on that show that I didn't enjoy, and so I was utterly baffled by some comments on the DS thread for the programme saying how good she was. There's no accounting for taste I suppose.

Her career seems similar to that of Sophie Ellis Bexter. Not really Sophie was cool as she fronted an credible indie band before she had any solo hits but then she fronted a classic dance single i guess like Jess then had a great debut album then diminishing returns which will befall Jess as well but she was never dull or overplayed. |

I don't get the hype about the woman plus I don't really like her voice.

A good looking girl, but goes for the safe option with her material which is brain achingly dull.
