Your model is not listed by Amazon so l doubt it's supported, don't think there's a way to load it either.
Have you a games console, PS3/4 or Xbox, or a pc, tablet or mobile that allows a tv connection or mirroring (providing the TV is compatible). Alternatively buy a Amazon fire stick - if you don't take Amazon, install Kodi on the stick and sell it on Ebay and make yourself £20.

Have just had a quick look at the fire stick user manual on Google and am presuming you connect the firestick to the TV with the HDMI lead.Connect the micro USB lead to the power point.I believe you stream whatever you want to watch and that is where I am unsure as to what to do.Sound easy I know but any advice appreciated.

Laptop to TV will work, then if you want to sign up you can carry on using the pc or buy a fire stick which would probably be more user friendly.
The fire stick just connects to your TV, you switch it on and the home menu appears, just a matter of selecting what you want to watch or look at, it has prime video, catchup and other apps pre installed. Very easy to use. There are plenty of tutorials/reviews on you tube..... https://youtu.be/GF7qDF6gINI |

Just one more question as I said my wife has opened a 30 day free trial period of Amazon Prime and watches it on her laptop upstairs.I would like to watch it on our 42" TV. When I get the fire stick I know it has to be plugged into the TVs HDMI socket but what do I do next and I presume I will have to sign in.

When I get the fire stick does it come with the accessories shown in the following video or do you only get the stick and the remote.

When you buy the stick you connect the HDMI end to a spare HDMI socket on your TV, and you connect the USB cable to either the supplied power brick, or a USB Port on your TV if it has one (you'll also need to put the supplied batteries in the remote).
You then change the Input on the TV to the HDMI Port you connected the Fire TV Stick too. When it boots up it will prompt for your WiFi details, then it will probably install one or more updates. Somewhere along the way it will prompt you for (your wifes) Amazon Login details. Once the updates are installed it will take you though a brief tutorial video and the Amazon stuff will be on the homescreen. Anything with the Prime icon next to it is "free" anything else needs paying for. You can search the full Amazon library, the Watchlist (i.e. if your wife adds a film to the watch list while on her laptop you can easily access it on the Fire TV Stick). You can also add apps such as All 4, BBC iPlayer, My5, Netflix, TV Player and ITV Hub (I think most of them appear on the main menus as recommended ones anyway). The box contains the Fire TV Stick, the USB Cable, the Power Brick*, Remote Control, and two AAA Batteries for the remote control. If you decide to continue with the trail you could buy a Fire TV stick for the bedroom TV. If you and your Wife have separate accounts you can share her Prime benefits with your account too https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/cus...deId=201277270 - you'd need to be comftable with sharing one anothers payment cards though. |

The payments will come out of our joint account and I think she said it was about £79 per year would that be right.

I have a account with Netflix for which we pay £6.99 a month. If we watch Netflix on Amazon Prime for which we pay £79 a year would we still have to pay for Netflix if not I will cancel the Netflix account and save about £83 a year which will pay for the Amazon Prime service.

The Netflix app requires a seperate subscription - you don't watch it on Amazon Prime, it just happens to be an app which is available on the Fire TV Stick.

Yes the subscription for Netflix is a separate entity to Amazon Prime. Personally I have found the Amazon selection is better than Netflix but no doubt others will disagree.

An Amazon Fire stick with Kodi sideloaded and a small selection of good video add ons is all you need. No need then for Prime or Netflix.

Yes, you need to pay Netflix to watch Netflix.
The other thing to consider and is very important, when signing up to an Amazon trial, go to your account and select do not continue after trial period ends otherwise you will automatically be charged £79. You can subscribe to Amazon Instant Video for £5.99 a month. One thing you can consider doing is to subscribe to both in alternative months and catch up on things that each service offers you. I personally didn't find enough on both to sustain subscribing to both so I tend to watch what I want on Amazon one month and then catch up on Netflix the following month and vice -versa. The other thing to consider is sharing, you can pay an additional £2 on Netflix and have four screens but Amazon only allows two. It makes it really cheap. I've noticed some suggesting Kodi, be warned the video add ons do contain lots of movies, shows and sport but are predominantly illegal content and streams. However Kodi is an excellent media app for controlling your media such as photos, music or movies that you may have purchased. Amazon also do not make an app available on kodi so you would need to use the app on firestick. The one thing to be careful regarding Amazon they are similar to Apple in operating a closed system where they do not make their apps available on many platforms which is really frustrating as Netflix is everywhere. A fantastic entry media centre is Nvidia Shield as it is a powerful processor and can handle all types of video files, transcoding 1080p with ease but Amazon do not make an app and the app that was made to be sideload was shut down. Probably covered too much for you here but you are best to be aware of all options including the illegal ones. |

I have Got a Samsung Ue40ju6400k and I am able to select Amazon prime on it.
I can't work out how to type in my username and password in order to log in. There are no letter keys on my remote and no keyboard comes up on the screen when the login screen is on the tv. Any advice please? |
