adding a service to an iptv box

hi all

this might be a stupid question but i currently subscribe to amigo iptv service and use it through my laptop. i would like to watch on my tv and they do offer a mag 250 box for this but at over £80.
i was wondering if there is a cheaper alternative to this?
is it possible to but a cheap iptv box and add/download the amigo iptv settings to this?
if yes what would be the best but cheapest box to use for this?

many thanks

if you have an android set top box you can install an iptv emulator that will do mag250 emulation.

Or if the OP cared to look on the Amigo IPTV website he would see they have their own Android app he could use on an Android set top box. And if he is the owner of a compatible Samsung or LG smart TV he can download and use the Amiga IPTV widget and no need to buy any other hardware.

And if the above don't suite him then he's got the option of using a browser or VLC via an Android set top box. Seems the only thing missing is a Kodi addon.

OP did care to look on the amigo website (dont like the way you implied i was too lazy or something to look)
was actually asking for help in trying to find a cost effective way to get what im after and not paying the price they are asking for.

Sorry I didn't realise it was compulsory to answer all points of a query raised. I focussed on the Amigo IPTV part of your query because you have posted on the Online Entertainment Services sub-forum.

If your real question was could someone recommend a cheap(er) good quality android TV box (a question probably better asked in the TV & Home Entertainment sub-forum BTW) then I'd say, as with most things, you get what you pay for. A no-name box off Ebay would probably work for you and likely cost half of Amigo IPTV's box or you could go for a brand that regularily updates its firmware and has an active user forum with developer input such as Minix, but that will cost you more.
