LG memory message

I have an LG 43LF630V tv and at random intervals the following message appears on the top right of the screen:
"This app will now restart to free up more memory"
The picture and sound then briefly disappear (if I'm watching on its tuner the smart tv's tuner splash screen comes on) before resuming normal normal service.
Very annoying.

What app??

Some background information: I have an LG smart remote, an Onkyo amp (for bluray and pc) on hdmi 1, a Sky box on hdmi 2 and a Freeview PVR on hdmi 3.

Can anyone give me an idea of what is going on and whether I can make it go away? It feels like a firmware bug rather than a defect.
I suspect the magic remote and am considering unpairing it and reverting to the standard remote to see whether that resolves it, though as the occurence is random it may be a while before I know for sure.
