What's the difference between Apple Music and iTunes
kah22

The question says it all. What is the difference between these two. Surely both are Apple owned?

Is one 'better' than the other?

Thanks as always for sharing your knowledge

Kevin

ps it may be worth mentioning I really haven't downloaded music before and have just bought an iPhone and iPad

a quick google would have told you apple music is a streaming service like spotify whilst itunes is both the software to sync devices and the download store to buy apps and media

Just to make it clear to the OP, everything goes through iTunes.

You will use iTunes to add your own music library (CD's etc.) as well as download music and other content from the iTunes Store. There is a different portal called Apple Music that lets you stream unlimited tracks for £9.99 a month but this is all done through iTunes.

They should let you have a free 3-month trial?
