HDR-2000T Media folder and aerial pass through
redrob2
28-03-2016
I recently purchased a HDR-2000T for my mum and currently have two issues.
Every now and again, when pressing the Media button, no folders appear, is this a fault that can be corrected?
and
for some reason the aerial pass through to the TV doesn't work. Is there a setting that could be disabling this or is it a fault?

If this is soon after turning the box on it is normal.

Turn off power saving in standby (or use an aerial splitter to feed the aerial signal to the TV and Humax).

Thank you,
I thought this may be the case but couldn't get a clear answer from my mum when I asked how long the box had been on. How long after powering on should this last?

I'll turn off power saving, I never really knew what that did

The Humax remotes are known to be dodgy, although it's more commonly the Guide button that stops working.

Not very long, say 20 seconds. There is also a different problem where if the box has the electrical supply removed then when it boots up it may not see the hard drive: the fix is to put it into standby and out again.

It reduces the power consumption so that it meets EEC regulations. The power consumption isn't greatly increased by turning it off

I'll ask her to check but it sounds like it is taking longer than that because she said she'd "been trying things" to find the folders with no luck but they are there "later" without a reboot but I've no measure on how long or short "later" can be.

Thanks again.

Anybody know what the power consumption is in Standby when the Saving setting is off?

According to https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/hdr-...software-10106 3 to 4W compared to 0.5W when power saving in standby is on and 14W when active.
