My iPad as a Anker Glass screen protector on it.

I generally clean my iPad with Muc Off screen protector liquid, and microfibre clothes which I use with the liquid. And use The Friendly Sweede iPad stylus, with the mesh tips, which you can unscrew and replace.

The screen is always smeary, and the iPad stylus, just seems to smear it more.

However my Dad also has a iPad Air, he cleans his screen with wipes about once a month, doesn't have a glass screen protector, and he says it hardly smears.

Am I doing too much in the way I'm cleaning, or using the wrong stuff, I have about 500 mls of the liquid left so can't really afford not to use it

I would suggest isopropanol.

Cuts through most grease. Fine to use on glass and plastics.

Small bottle will last you forever!

That is cheap especially for what I have been paying for this Muc Off, only thing is I have Cerbral Palsy,, so I find the Sprayer Nosel on the Muc off. Bottle easier.

It must be that though or the screen protector, cause like I say my dad also has a iPad Air, and his screen needs cleaning like once a month.

The official answer from Apple is not to clean it with anything. The glass already has a coating on it, and a wipe with a clean soft cloth does the trick. Screen protectors are a waste of time IMHO.

However, if you have been using a solvent you may already have taken some of the protective coating off.

Thanks I guess I could be damaging the screen protector as well then, wonder how I can resolve it.

Like I say I have a bottle and a half of cleaner and can't really afford to let it waste.

On the cleaner packaging, it has a black picture of a iPad and one of a tablet screen though

Since I made thiis thread, the screen has already gone smeary, but it only seems to be on the side where surprise surprise I have used my stylus.

I bought myself a keyboard so I wouldn't get the screen messed up using onscreen keyboard.

Maybe tommorrow, I might have a day just using my finger and see if that makes any differene

Wipe with a baby wipe, and dry off with a piece of kitchen roll. I find that pretty good.
