Evening all,
Just wanted to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to all who posted spoilers and links to interviews etc etc etc. Very much appreciated by me and everyone on the thread i'm sure You guys make getting the latest gossip so easy!!
I'm personally enjoying all the Robron I can get to be honest, not stressing about it, just happy they are on screen as I love them weather they are snogging each other's faces off or not (wish they were!). The Liv stuff WILL die down eventually and as Danny and Ryan have often said; 'they will have a bright future' and are 'in it for the long haul'. And so am I!!
I love the positive vibe of this post!! Thanks S_Rawl!!

I really liked today's episode

I love the way Robert was venting at the bad and Aaron being there and listening to him.

So cute

Liv wasn't there that much so i didn't mind her. And Robert was so in his element.

He is good at his job and Aaron with his cute face telling him that he loved it. He knows him so Well.

I think what I would like to see just now, more than anything is a conversation between Aaron and Robert. This is what I think is niggling me-since the reunion we have not seen this.I think they have made a mistake by not showing us the two of them sitting together and talking through some things. How Aaron is feeling after the trial etc (more than the bit outside the pub),a bit more about how pleased Aaron was to have had Robert by his side, and a bit about themselves and how they are both happy to be with each other again (albeit taking things slow). After the big build up during the trial and everything that happened beforehand, along the way,I really feel that this was needed. We have not had a meaningful, intimate conversation since that emotional reunion and I think it is long overdue anyway.Yes I would love some affection too, and some passion back, but more so right now,a meaningful conversation.Hopefully it will happen at some point soon and they will dedicate some time to that

Unfortunately, Robert and Aaron have been needing to have a meaningful conversation for quite some time now, even before the reunion to be honest. They never talked about the lodge, nor the spiteful things Robert told Aaron at the scrapyard, nor Robert's shooting (well, since Aaron brutally stopped wanting to find out who did it anyway), and now nor their relationship. Well, to be fair Emmerdale sucks at aftermaths in general, it's not only with them.

I agree with this I think there should have been a conversation between the two of them after the trial. If there had been I think you would have seen more intimacy between them. I know you didn't like that scene about the holiday, but you have to remember it occurs the morning after the verdict and before they actually have a chance to talk about the holiday Liv appears. As far as intimacy goes I think Robert/Aaron were about as intimate as Chrissie/Andy tonight. With Liv around all the time I think there about as many couple moments as I would expect. She's a stranger to Robert.

Yeah I agree, and said in the post that it was long overdue anyway, but certainly has been needed since the reunion

No I didn't like that scene, hence why I'm saying about a conversation and think that's what niggling me.After the verdict and reunion,I would have preferred to have had the breakfast scene scrapped altogether in favour of a long scene with the type of conversation I mentioned in my previous post. And I was not meaning that I wanted intimacy in tonight's episode as such.I was meaning conversational intimacy (not physical)

Can I vote more than once in the Soap Awards if I use my work e-mail address etc?
Well, yes, you can, but remember that the whole of Form 2B girls all over the country are probably all doing it as well, because they think Charlie Clapham, with his non-acting "skills" and his body disfigured by ugly tattoos is so "cool" are doing the same thing, and there are probably more of them than there are of us, all borrowing each others devices and phones to do the same thing.

I think it would be far better if everybody just had the opportunity to vote once then the figures at the end of the process would be genuine. Personally, I would rather lose fairly than win unfairly.

The way things are going I think Hollyoaks should be put up for an award at he British Comedy Awards, where it would stand a very good chance of beating Mrs. Browns Boys.

I agree entirely, but when would they have the opportunity, seeing that LIv has to be shoe-horned into every scene they have.

I seen a post on tumbler showing coupley pic scenes between Jackson/Aaron.. Aaron tbh does have more PDA in him then realised. Aarons holding Jackson's hand.. kissing in public.. Aaron having his arse slapped in public etc.. there certainly was PDA moments with him & Jackson at times even tho I didn't see chemistry. So I do think it will come with Robron at some point.. I don't think they'll ever be making out in the pub but there is couply stuff I do see happening in public.
Well, Aaron was still very new to acceptance of who he was, and I think frankly for many people Jackson wasn't "pretty" enough

TBH the scenes with Ed in Paris (I must try to dig one out for those who haven't seen them) on You Tube, showed the same basic lack of affection between them that many of the Robert & Jackson ones do as well.

My own theory FWIIW is that Aaron as a character is too self-sufficient and independent to need a full time relationship with another guy, and indeed might find such a situation claustrophobic*. The only deep friendship which really works for him is the non-sexual one with Adam. It is a pity that Aaron & Finn didn't get on better, then we could have seen them disappearing into the B & B when Eric wasn't around, or the scrapyard,on an occasional basis. That's all they would need to do - the rest would be left to the viewers imaginations and it wouldn't upset the horses or the more elderly viewers. We would be acknowledging that they are both two gay men in their twenties who have occasional needs, and wouldn't need any ludicrous sub-plots (i.e. Aaron taking up fatherhood)

* For those who believe I read too much of myself into "Aaron" or vice-versa, I admit I am like that myself)

Ryan looked freezing in that scene outside the cafe!
That's the problem - though they know they are transmitting in May, it was probably recorded in March. It's like Woolpack exteriors in late October - which were probably done in August, so they still have a full display of summer hanging baskets. In Hollyoaks the trees are still in full leaf in December, with blue cloudless skies - but then I have a feeling Chester is a magical place - a dreamland - the part of the dream you have before you wake up in a cold sweat, screaming!

Do you think that the people on the BSA panel might come on here or twitter and see the comments people make? I was wondering only because if they did and they saw that people are annoyed with how 'matey' Robert and Aaron are and the comments about the lack of intimacy would that mean they would think they don't deserve to win Best Onscreen Partnership?

Frankly, I suspect the results of this (and "talent" and dancing shows) are decided well in advance by the people who organise them. I have always thought this, and the fact that a joke soap and one of it's worst actors reached the short list proves that.

It's a public vote. He reached the short list because people voted for him (for some reason). Hollyoaks have a very active fanbase.

Probably thanks to multiple voting and general dishonesty. It merely makes the whole exercise pointless - down to who has the most email addresses. I would rather not win at all than win by cheating.

I'm so incensed. I imagine i came across the twitter comments mentioned yesterday about Danny's nomination. I don't understand how after the abuse story and the performances, praised all over, not just by Danny fans, but journo's, fellow actors, casual viewers ect, can then be accused of being about the BSA's being a "popularity contest2 rather then the "most deserving" getting noms. It's absurd that anyone should think Danny/the abuse story doesn't warrent a few nominations at least.

Are you kidding me right now?!

These are people who want the opposite of what they say they want. They say they want it to go to the most deserving (which is Danny) and not for it to be about popularity (which is not Danny). Ignore them.
