Yeah I think it's fine. I can see why people might be annoyed that Liv is a hurdle though.

I think her introduction/staying with Aaron is no more unbelievable than a lot of other things in soapland - that's just the way they like to introduce new characters. Aaron was one of them in a way, I guess.

(My issue is just the repetitiveness of comments on it. To me, reading the same point being made over and over is more boring than ED without Robron. But each to their own!)

It is when you consider that Aaron was more or less bought up as an only child, but discovered he had a sister - one he hasn't seen for eight years (and didn't recognize) and who he rarely spoke about. They are, literally, relative strangers. The kid also has a mother perfectly well able to look after her. It's pure 100% contrived soap.

I wonder if the big/tragic/shocking news (can't remember the actual term used) from DS Wise at the name-changing party is that Sandra, rather than Gordon dies. As a convicted sex criminal,he could be safely under Rule 42 and isolated.

Do we know if Gordon is supposed be wealthy?. As he never showed any remorse to Aaron for what he did, even if he has money, I can't see him leaving it to Aaron - more likely to Sandra or in trust for LIv.

Aaron did not just discover he had a sister ! He lived with her from when she was born until she was around 6 years old.And it's not paternal feelings as such that he has suddenly developed-he is trying to fill a bit of that role though

People like Elton John have a lot of money to indulge themselves and their fancies (as did Madonna with her "adoping phase"., so can afford child care, nannies etc) Aaron hasn't got the resources of an aging pop star.

Clearly what I meant was that Liv will be a barrier between Robert and Aaron, just as Finn's troubled family and his deep friendship with women stops him thinking about being gay, because clearly they don't want to travel very far down that road.

I don't see the issue with Aaron looking after Liv. He wants to make up for lost time, she's 14 so obviously thought she could have a better life with Aaron. Sandra wasn't as bad as she made out but she was clearly unhappy. Aaron probably feels bad he didn't make contact with her before.. But he couldn't as for all he knew Liv could have still been with Gordon and he couldn't face seeing him again. It's not so odd for a sibling to have parental responsibility, I've sure that happens a lot in real life. I have to say I'd be more upset with Aaron if he did turn her away. Ok, he doesn't know what he's doing, but he'll learn, he's trying his best. Robert has a bit more experience than him at dealing with problem teenagers (even though his parenting with Lachlan was slightly questionable! ) Liv is a nightmare and being in the way of Robron scenes is not good but I still enjoy her scenes with Aaron. It's nice to see Aaron looking after someone rather than being looked after. I loved the Chas PTSD story for the same reason. He's growing up and it's nice to see a progression in character.

I think a script found during a tour revealed that is Gordon who dies, plus I believe it was mentioned in a magazine.

He may not have been very wealthy but leaving any sum of money for Aaron wouldn't be an act of remorse, it could be a twisted way for Gordon to essentially pay Aaron for the abuse in a way.

Gordon may actually die as a complication of his cancer rather than suicide

I think in the early days of the SL it said Gordon got a payout from some health insurance and it meant he had enough to buy the share of the pub, plus he might own that house, so he may have something to leave.

I'd imagine it would be divided between Liv and Aaron, if they go down that route. If they do, I am wondering if Aaron could use the money to move out of the pub with Liv, but not in with Robert just yet?

If Gordon leaves his money/house to Aaron then I don't think it would be.. Because he's sorry at all, it would probably be another mind game. Also i don't think Liv was ever much higher in his estimations than Aaron. He had a lot of the same resentment for her.. Unless she was doing what he wants of course. Surely if Aaron did have money first thing he do is buy the pub for Chas. That was what he wanted at the start. Although not sure that would be exciting for ED viewers. Something must get Charity into HF for this feud with Chrissie which makes me think that she might not buy the pub.

Unless Chas is kicking off about Liv being around, which i can't see, i don't think Aaron would choose to move out with just Liv, That seems to me a massive step and something Aaron wouldn't be at all ready for. That would mean Aaron taking full responsibility for Liv, living alone with her. It's not that extreme and exposed living with her at the pub with Chas (or at least someone) always around. I think he might consider moving out with Liv though if it's with Robert.

I think 'Aaron's decision' will be deciding if he should take Gordon's money and his conflicting thoughts between " I deserve some compensation" and " I don't want to take that creeps money, hes trying to control and pay me off" Robert will probably help him with the decision though.

In the preview for Thursday, the shelves have been emptied (I'm gonna miss the Sugden family photos back there) but there's a couple of new ones on the shelves - one of Charity and Noah(?) and one of I'm guessing Chas and Aaron.

I think we may see Danny on our TV screen next week which isn't Emmerdale.

That's a fair point, and I can see it, but - whether she was happy with Sandra or not, Sandra is still her mum and surely she wouldn't so easily hand her over - that she did probably means that she really is trouble!. A bet a lot of kids who are unhappy with their parents would like a bolt hole, but alas, real life just isn't soapland.

True but it is a soap so they get away with it they clearly wanted Liv but didn't want Sandra so this was the way round it. Other than Sandra being killed.. Which would be even more soapy this is the next best thing. It's even stuff like Pete conviently crossing paths with Gordon that's unreal but it's soap, we forgive it. As long as they get the important stuff right I.e. The issue led storylines like Aaron's abuse all is good

I liked the Thursday Liv/Aaron stuff but the rest of the week was just the same old Liv being a brat and being mouthy and Aaron telling her off. It feels like a lot of their scenes are repetitive with the same stuff over and over and makes me bored. So hopefully we will get more scenes like Thursday.
