How does the elimination work?
Apologies if this has already been asked.
I've read how the scores are calculated and I think I get all the percentages and stuff. But is the public voting on the previous week's dances? I have assumed they are cos of the time difference across the USA. If that's right then when they work out who gets eliminated are they using the judges scores for the current week or the previous one. And anyway if the public are voting on the previous week and a weak couple that week are great in this week isn't the whole thing unfair. Why make them go through all the training if the whole thing's a done deal and the Powers That Be know they are going anyway? For all it's faults at least SCD eliminations are all based on the current week. Or have I got this all wrong? |

It doesn't work and you are right you are voting on the previous week's dance that's why Christina and Mark went out despite being top of the leaderboard that week. It is because of the lack of a result show the next day and the time difference between east and west coast however this doesn't make it any more fair

It is a dreadful way to do the eliminations but DWTS lost its Tuesday night results show a few seasons back so this is apparently the way they determine the final results.
