I think last time the troupe only did a few dances on results shows, but if they do it like DWTS the troupe will be appearing in all the couples' dances as well. So lots more dancing teapots and searching for the couple in amongst a sea of random dancers frantically mugging to camera

I think it started off with the troupe doing the pro numbers, but I vaguely remember thinking the troupe was pointless because the regular pros were involved too/instead.

If there's to be a troupe, wouldn't we need more than 5 newbies?

Assuming (!) the number of competing couples remains the same, with Jo's status being a little vague , we're currently 5 pros down on last year, including the unexpected departure.

well my fellow dance peeps can't come up with any British dancer with initials KJ or OD other than Katya Jones - am reliably informed she is now a British passport holder so presuming it is her - if that is the case would be surprised if Neil was not part of show - no one I know have heard any whispers to confirm it

Katya and Neil are already part of the Strictly 'family' anyway, having appeared in and choreographed pro dances last year. So they would be obvious choices for newbies I'd say. I'm still not entirely sure that I believe bakctsageone though, has he/she ever been correct?

There is surprisingly very little gossip around the dance peeps I know got more info on DWTS than SCD - though was told of a programme for next year that sounds interesting (drama series involving dance) but for now it is top secret - have heard that former pupil now on BTF is heading to London for the new West End production but that coincides with the time SCD launches so no gossip will be relevant from him

Do you know why the pro line up is taking so long to announce? I'm sure we normally know who's coming back/joining the show by now?
