viewing order of images on tablet
I have a Samsung galaxy tab A tablet.
I have put holiday pictures on an SD card all numbered in the order I want to view them. I have set the tablet viewing settings on sort by name. However they just will not play back in the correct order. I have tried all of the remaining setting option and none will result in the images playing in the correct order. Is this a common problem as I have no previous experience with an android operating system When viewed on my laptop viewer all is ok in the correct order. Really frustrating. |

Don't forget that it might display them in an order such as 18, 19, 2, 20, 21 etc. |

Is it a random order?
Don't forget that it might display them in an order such as 18, 19, 2, 20, 21 etc. Strange thing is I select the very first number which appears then I find I can swipe from left or right instead of from beginning to end. Thus if I swipe to the left first after a few images I have reached the end so I have to swipe to the right to see the full list but still not in the correct order I have named them. Hope that makes sense..!! |

However it just selects an order and keeps that order always with the problem being it is the wrong order I have looked in the apps store and am totally confused what alternative is worth trying. In reviews I read about complaints of adds etc or other problems and have thus far not found an app I would feel confident in installing My first experience with an android tablet and love it apart from this picture viewing fiasco |

I exclusively use Google Photos, though I don't know how great that is for viewing photos off an SD card (it does let you browse through Device folders so I assume it would be okay).
Android's handling of external storage has been a little flaky in some versions, so I don't know if this is contributing to the problem. Do you happen to know what version of Android the tablet is running? You might be able to eliminate the external storage issue by copying the files across to the internal memory on the tablet and seeing if the problem persists. |
