Anyone know if they'll be getting added? seems strange to have a two episode hole in the full 8 series catalogue, it just stops at name of the doctor then onto deep breath.

I've read that Doctor Who is coming off Netflix altogether - and being added to amazon Prime.

No it always ended at Name of the Doctor, now it's skipped past Matt's last two

That's happening in America, in the UK it remains on both

JNever use sites like this. I don't like a corporation in control of what I can and can't watch.

They aren't part of Series 8, as Matt Smith is the Doctor and not Peter Capaldi.

It is strange though, as you would have though they would be on there, as Series 7 is.

Same here. I prefer to have the DVDs, then I can decide for myself when I want to watch them, and what time.

Been watching some of the Jon Pertwee era on DVD recently. Saw The Daemons, then Day of the Daleks, Planet of the Daleks, and lastly Death To The Daleks.

Then I went on to the Tom Baker era and watched Revenge of the Cybermen and The Android Invasion.

Now I've just started watching Destiny of the Daleks. Will watch the last two episodes from that tonight. I'm in a Lalla Ward mood at present, so I will be watching every DW story she was in.

How is it any worse than broadcast TV? Don't you think the broadcasters control what they transmit and hence what you can watch and when?

Certainly Netflix pulling a programme you admire from its listings is annoying, but is that worse than ITV, Channel 4, 5 or the BBC not showing repeats, or pulling it from their catchup services?

I use Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, but (and this is where I agree) they're not a substitute for a permanent collection on disc.

So they have, that's crazy. Why hold back a few specials? do they see more value in those and Netflix won't pay it?

You mean like the bbc?

At least Netflix lets you watch it's own original content when you wish to watch it rather than getting pulled after a certain number of days

The BBC must hold the right to allow an asset like Doctor Who to be used to the max which will bring money back into the BBC ( if they make it every year )

BBC has given rights to many TV companies over the years like..
UKTV channels like Watch ( W ) & Drama
Horror Channel
SyFy Channel
Also many TV channels around the world ...
We have also had Doctor Who by a player on services like Virgin TiVo were you could view a complete season but that was over taken by the likes of Netflix

Yes BBC has allowed the show to be on Internet based services but now it has it's own viewing platform I feel it will hold back a bit to sell viewings on the BBC Store system witch came from the now closed internet BBC Shop that sold it by hard copies...DVD etc..

Does anyone know the actual reason why these episodes are missing and if they'll be back?
