After more than two years of negotiations with the cable and film industry, Apple finally came to an agreement and will launch their new streaming service in the US and Canada on June 1st and in 130 countries by September 2017. It is thought that the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain will have the service by October. On board will be Time Warner, HBO, sister company Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, Fox, CBS and Disney. The move is likely to threaten Netflix and Amazon as much of their catalogue is dependent on third party content. As yet there has been no announcement of pricing but it is thought that an A la Carte package will cost $39.99 with an entry package costing $19.99.
