Any ideas when they will be airing series 3? I gather its being filmed this Summertime which I recall in the past series had Summer filmings so wondered if likely it would be airing around January time next year?

Series 2 less so and it sucked the pips out of the story line

As you say sucked the pips do you mean that they stretched the court case over 8 episodes?

I myself never watched the series when it aired, only bought the boxset 2 weeks ago and just went through 16 episodes back to back. Great stuff.

They're really flogging the dead horse here! Series 2 was such a disappointment, and the lack of BAFTA nominations (even for golden girl Olivia Colman) is very telling.

Truth be told I enjoyed the first series, but never understood why it became such a national phenomenon. It wasn't that great. I'll give it credit for having an excellent ending and not a let-down like so many of these shows do.

Olivia Coleman I think has only recently had another baby so I would assume filming will commence some point this year. I loved the first series I was hooked on it, the second one however not as much.

Only got as far as early episode 3 of series 2 before I turned off. Talk about stretching a story out just because first series was popular. I'm surprised that the actors want to do a third series.

There is a trailer out now . After watching it I have my doubts about watching this series as some of the worst characters of s2 seem to be back .

The fact that Lenny Henry is in it is enough to put most people off.
