What happened to post modernism in popular music? Or is this it?

I prefer Melody Gardot, she has a bit more mystery to her and some slightly strange arrangements.

The first song linked above is a recent cover of one that was written in 1970 so not sure what that has to do with postmodernism. The story goes that lyricist Mogol and composer Lucio Battisti were driving from Milan to Como and improvised the song along the way. They were two of the most influential Italian songwriters of the 1970s and Battisti made one of the most important Italian albums of that era, Anima Latina. It's really good (and nothing like E penso a te).

Some people on this board have such narrow perspectives when it comes to music.

It says a lot about them.
