Anyone but Lacey Turner, She is the most overrated actress of all time.

Even Alison King has failed to make this Tracy/Carla feud interesting so it's hard to feel much need to vote for her, even if the ones mainly responsible for the story are the writers. Paula Lane's delivered this year and is one of the few highlights of Corrie at the moment. That being said, the Callum story has been mainly long-winded and poorly written. The less said about Kate Ford's panto-acting currently the better.
It'll be one of the Emmerdale lot for me I think. Three very good choices. Lucy Pargeter is very consistent. Charlotte Bellamy has had a great year and always delivers with what she's given and Zoe Henry has once again proved that when she's actually given something to run with she's fantastic. Will have to have a think about this. EDIT: Just noticed some of the nominees for the other soaps. Don't rate the majority of the EastEnders lot purely because I don't think the show itself gives the characters a great deal to do but thought Diane Parish was great in The Bill years back. And Nikki Sanderson with a nomination! Remember her as Candice in Corrie and, while I liked her, I never thought I'd see the day she was up for a best actress award. Has she improved since her Corrie days or is her current role just giving her more to do? |

BIB: Nikki Sanderson is a good actress in Hollyoaks - the only problem is that the writing for her character is poor, they've turned her into a stupid drip now which is very frustrating! The whole 'body-in-the-wall' story is awful and infuriating! The only saving grace is that Nikki (as well as Ashley (Darren) and Jessica (Nancy), who are also involved) are some of the best actors in Hollyoaks at the moment.

Rakhee Thakrar for me. One of the most terrific dramatic performances in soap these past 12 months.

Rakhee Thakrar. By a mile. And I'm not even a regular EE viewer.

Charlotte, for me.
She had one of the only interesting storylines of soap this year, and acted it brilliantly. |

Rakhee Thakrar for me or Zoe Henry. Pretty sure Lacey has this one in the bag though.

It's all very predictable - might as well not bother with the public vote. |

The sign outside The Kabin should have been nominated over Kate Ford.
Baffling inclusion. Jane's been up for awards before and most of the time fails to make the shortlist - now that's baffling. Such talent and the voters completely overlook her every time. Kate is more likely to make the shortlist, at least. |
