You'd think though that the HO bosses would look at last year to see that they had no one make the short list in the best actor category and not put them up again, or at least mix it around. But no, they don't, they put the same three actors up, even though one of them had a three month break last year! Because obviously BK knows better than us idiots with short attention spans!

They were never going to have both Michael Parr and Danny Miller so they have left out Michael to increase Danny's chances. Not just him but they have gone for Danny over Ryan Hawley too. Apart from the recent Danny story I think the other 2 have been better all year.

Danny Dyer gets a mention but not Steve McFadden? Unbelievable.

I guess my vote goes to Jack Shepherd then. He's David on Corrie, no?

Edit to add: do they do lifetime achievement awards? Maybe Steve could nab that one.

Can't belive Steve Mcfadden not up. Please to see James Bye there. I voted John Middleton however. He has been superb

Him or John Middleton in Emmerdale are the standouts for me. Sadly neither of them stand a chance

It's is sad sorcha_healy - I wish it was panel voted rather than the public. Best Actor seems to get confused with Sexiest Male with people only voting based on the look of the actor rather than their acting capabilities.

I've gone for Jack P Shepherd. He is consistently good imo and can do serious scenes as well as comedy. Like somebody mentioned before the scene when he called Kylie and told her that Gail was dead was hilarious and his delivery of the line was so deadpan.

Utterly astonished that Steve McFadden, one of soap's most consistenty best actors, hasn't even made the longlist.

I voted John Middleton.

I don't know how Dominic Brunt got nominated. Danny Miller is just giving us the same old performances again and again. Tired of it now.

Hoping it's any of the others!

It's a disgrace that the best actor in EastEnders (Steve Mcfadden) has not been put up! but I suppose we can't have Dyer being left out, he always has to be involved!

I suspect BK knows none of them has got a cat in hell's chance, to be honest.
