BT TV are going charge for AMC
BT started to put BT Sports on bills marked £0 for about a year before they put a price to the channels.
BT TV are now doing the same with AMC channel & On Demand £0 on bills so look out viewers your package will be put up or you have cancel the channel your self like sports channels last year. ![]() Remember that we have been told on TV and other press over the last year that prices are around 0% and with oil / fuel prices down this should mean that BT will have very large profits in 2016 an cheap TAX too from last year budge, so customers should not have any price changes if they care at all. |

That is nothing but pure speculation at this point.

I'm due a BT 3 monthly bill in the next 2 weeks or so.
I never notice BT Sport listed or AMC listed as £0 on my e bill back in January. Its all just rumors the now. Knowone knows for sure what BT will do. If BT do end up changing for AMC im not sure if I would take it as although I do watch it there are some days I don't even put AMC on. Darren |

The main reason to get AMC is to get their 'exclusive' Fear The Walking Dead but now the first season is already on Amazon Prime.
It's only six or seven months behind, so not too long a wait. |

I'm due a BT bill sometime in the next 12 to 14 days so will see what it says on the new bill then. I'm also now on a £2.50 a month discount for the Entertainment max package after renewing all my BT contracts back in Febuary. Darren |

Why put all that detail if they are about price the channel like they did the sports channels ??? MAYBE they will in the future, but why bother speculating on it just because your bill has been reworded somewhat? Also, from what I've been hearing, AMC is getting so few viewers each evening, BT wouldn't make a massive amount of money from charging a subscription fee, and that's assuming all of the people currently receiving the channel would happily pay for it (which they won't!) I've never watched anything on AMC HD in full yet. Stuff like Breaking Bad I'll watch on Netflix and Mad Men I haven't yet been inclined to try out. The one thing I intended to watch on the channel was Manhatten, but I wasn't enjoying the first episode so I stopped watching halfway through and cancelled the series record. In other words, I won't pay for AMC by itself, and can safely predict the vast majority of BT customers won't either. BT are best off keeping it as a niche add on to the Entertainment packages (or Sports package if viewing via Sky), which is what I think they will do anyway. The bill layout which has got TV Mad Alan all anxious is just the way BT are wording things and it means nothing. |

Despite having the full sports package on BT TV I have never been able to access the AMC channel, not that I am bothered by it.
By the way OP, perhaps the thread should have been titled, "Are BT going to charge for AMC?! |
