I'll watch but after there being reports of it being an extremely singer heavy year once again, I doubt I'll bother for long.

What reports? Guarantee you they'll be at least a decent amount of variety, minimum like last year but possibly more. If it's pop X Factor-lite singers then I agree but if it's songwriters, kids, or obscure genres then I think having a few (though not too many) is good.
Be open-minded! I'm sure there will buckets of variety - the more the better!

Set the PVR already. Probably save an hour of wasted time by skipping all of the ads, all of the sob stories and all of the bovine Walliams.

Oh, if there any juvenile acts they'll get the FF treatment too. Just hope there will be some genuine variety without those accursed and terminally boring street dancing groups.

...or dog acts.

I suspect the final will consist of MoR young male singers and dance groups. I'm always interested in the fantastic unique acts and I'm hoping that, to celebrate its 10th series, we get an outstanding winner this year. The last BGT winner who really impressed me was Attraction in 2013. Prior to that it was Spelbound in 2010.

So 2016 should follow the pattern of greatness.

Here are the acts: http://www.tellymix.co.uk/gallery/25...auditions.html

Looks like they've gone out of their way for a bit of everything: Animal act, singer, dance group, impressionist, sword swallower, pianist, circus act, ventriloquist etc.

Yes indeed; thanks for dragging those abominations back into my consciousness!

The worst, the lowest, form of entertainment.

I suppose the ultimate nightmare would be a street dancing group of pre-teens, all of whom lost their aged grandmother the day before the auditions, and each with accompanying dog for the maximum "ahhhh" effect.

During the act several of them then burst into tears spontaneously when Amanda stands up, waves her hands in the air and weeps.

The act then ends with increasingly bovine Walliams joining them on stage.
