Wouldn't it have been better to get actual people in that age group O.O

Trouble is a lot of people in that age group are still legitimately in school, even if they're actors. Especially considering the time that they're filming the series, it'd coincide with all manner of real-life exams and further education applications.

I believe Tommy Knight was in a similar position with The Sarah Jane Adventures, and he was subsequently absent for most of Series 4 because he had exams if I recall correctly.

Like the inbetweeners. Catherine Kelly she's knocking on a bit in her 30s. Won't be watching unless they show it on proper telly.

So is this the reason why we have no Who this year ? Won't be watching it in any case, can't stand series with smart arse kids, not even the Sarah Jane Adventures.

I finished school five years ago. I'm now the same age as my A Level English teacher was when she taught me. The thing is, I pass for much younger than my age. She could have passed for a bit older than her age. It always leaves me confused when people get so worked up about 20-something's portraying students. It's as if they haven't seen students themselves before... plenty of 15/16 year olds look considerably older than that.

I've worked in a school for almost seven years and it's still worrying how many of the students look considerably older than I

^^These. It leaves me equally confused, I genuinely don't get people who say oh no they all look too old. If you took 50 random people off the street all of whom were aged between 17 and 25, and asked another 50 random people to estimate their ages, no-one would be accurately able to separate out all the late teens from all the twenty-somethings. Some people at that age look older than they are, some look younger, as a group they all look much the same. I was 17 way back in the 1970s, and looking at photos of me and my friends from my A-level years, we don't look significantly different age-wise from the Class student cast.

As Patrick Ness has stated before, it'll air on BBC1. All BBC3 online programs like Cuckoo and Thirteen have, so Class will as well.

Hopefully in a decent timeslot though.

No, it's not the reason we have no Who this year. The reason is Moffat's commitments to the delayed Sherlock and Chibnall's commitments to the delayed Broadchurch.

I watch very little mainstream television so I've not a clue what if anything catheine kelly has been in since leaving corrie. I will give it a go if its on bbc1. Would be crazy to condemn the programme to online obscurity.

A few programmes do transfer over from BBC Three to BBC1 and BBC2, most recent being Cuckoo and Thirteen, so you might be in luck. I can see it being more of a BBC2 thing though.

An early Saturday teatime slot would be nice.
