Huge Neighbours News- POSSIBLE SPOILER
News circulating on another thread here that John Doe could be the Son of Daphne Clarke played Elaine Smith. Daphne was killed off in 1988 but there are rumours she could still be alive and may make an appearance in tonight's 10pm episode - this would be huge for Neighbours.

That would be ridiculous, we saw her die!

It would also be a miracle, since we saw her flatline. And Karl wasn't even around in those days to perform a miracle - Dr Bev just wasn't in the same league of awesome.
Still, this is the woman who gave birth with her tights on, so who knows

If John Doe is Jamie, I guess Daph could appear as a ghost. All the deceased residents of Ramsay Street seem to spend their afterlife at the Lassiters complex after all.

This was taken from Neighboursfans.com where the original thread creator there 83Ray1 has an active imagination when creating storylines for Neighbours!

Yes, that would be completely shark jumping, they might as well bring Jim Robinson back. We saw Daphne die on screen after having been in a coma for weeks, saw her funeral etc, etc. No way could she possibly be alive and even a ghost appearance would be a little odd as we're expected to believe that a man that will have no memory of her (he wasn't even 1 year old when she died) would dream her as a middle aged woman rather than mid twenties as he would have seen her in photos?
I do think Jamie appearing is possible but not Daphne. |

That would be one hell of a jump the shark moment, but I would love it if there was a few shocks in the hour episode tonight.

But the doctor only resussitated her twice. Which is not nearly enough times to give up. Maybe the doc was in on it and helped Daphne sneak out the hospital without anyone seeing!

I bet Gail was in on it too. She was in the car crash with Daphne and Jamie. |

Joking aside, Daphne's injuries were supposed to be very severe, she wasn't expected to wake at all. They'd hardly have kept her in witness protection under the guise of a coma for several weeks as anybody could have got in to finish her off - there was no Police protection. Also, as mentioned, Gail was in the car crash as well, if the crash was set up by the Police to put her in WP, they'd have made sure she was on her own. If the WP was to protect her from whoever was in the car (and i think they dealt with that, had the guy arrested and Des confront him) then they'd have needed to protect Gail as well -and they didn't. Daphne is dead. If she isn't, i'm stopping watching. Re Witness Protection Terru Ingalls Robinson would make sense as she was in Prison and it was off screen. And that would be a massive curveball for Paul. |

As it happens, Bev declaring death as quickly as she did was something which was mocked at the time, but we thought it just indicated she was crap or didn't like Daphne very much!
