She has offered to stay on as producer.....she couldn't produce a fart in the bath.

If Rita says no, they should make it Louis, Sharon, Nicole and Simon.

Quit as an alternative to not being asked back.

I guess she and soon to be new hubby will make a duet.

Great news. She'd been dead behind the eyes since returning. Hopefully with her gone, Nicole Scherzy can finally make her return.

Someone give her a digger, a lot of very deep digging to find it.

Sacked then. She doesn't have a career outside of x factor

I thought Rita brought NOTHING to the show last year, dull as dishwater.

I'm now hoping for a Simon/Louis/Sharon/Nicole or Mel B.

Rita was rubbish, however she won't be releasing music for a long time now due to this lawsuit with Jay Z. She'll probably need the money to even bring the case to court.

This is fab news. She's past her sell by date imo. Rita brought nothing interesting to the show last year either. Simon, Louis, sharon and nicole please 😊

I'm convinced this was not her decision.

Rita is nice enough but too safe and dull for this show, like others have said she doesn't add anything it's time for her to go

With chezza out the way it really is time Simon pulled out all the stops to get scherzinger back, she was full of energy and enthusiasm and she got into the role more than anyone has since (possibly discounting cheryl last year)

im happy cheryls gone but I hope Rita also goes she didn't seem to fit last year and was no better than Grimmy if they keep her and get rid of grimy that would be a farce

Not sure about her exit. She looks better in the moment then through the hole show last year and for some reasons I like her. But for the show it could be good to have new faces. But new faces for me are not Mrs O or Dannii. Nicole would be ok, but she isn't more current than Chezza in her career.

You're too generous........ The woman's self-delusion knows no bounds and a pretty face has taken her a long way giving her a lifestyle and decent 'fortune' way beyond her ability.

Perhaps this is the start of her long overdue descent into obscurity?
