oh no the old 'darts' storyline resurfaces again. Poor Buster. They give him the dregs.
Tina interfering in Masood's life now - Carter sticking their beaks in again. More boring 'heart to hearts' with Linda. Its like every episode she has a monologue about her boring life. |

When Linda first come to air, she always liked her girls nights.
Why don't they just arrange one of them, Surely Mick could look after Ollie for the night. |

When did Sharon and Ben even become close? When he first came back she didn't want him around and only relented when Roxy reminded her that Ben comes first to Phil. She then took Ben to the Vic to flaunt him in front of the woman whose best friend he'd murdered. I don't recall them having any/many proper scenes together after that.
I'll take a darts storyline over a football one which are more commonly associated with bad eras of the show. I only remember the darts team existing twice before the first in the early days with Angie, Kathy, Debs and Sue and the second in the mid 90s with Carol, Ruth and Pat etc. I didn't mind Louise when she seemed caring towards Phil but went off her when she stole his credit card. We have seen it all before. She also doesn't look 14. |

I wasn't sure I was remembering correctly so I am glad someone else mentioned it. I really warmed to Louise when she was helping Phil and thought we were going to get a decent teen but alas no. I don't see the need for the twist of her stealing Phil's money, I think that it has been done to give leeway for the Abi/Louise feud that is upcoming. I only just realised she was a lot older than she was supposed to be, I didn't read the article about her return so didn't know the actress, but thought she looked a lot older than her years. Personally I don't see why they couldn't have cast someone nearer to Lou's actual age.

I know Ben and Sharon have shared scenes while living under the same roof, but I've just never thought of them as being particularly close. I don't remember them having more than 2-3 deep and meaningful scenes. Everything else has been general everyday interaction. Although that's more than the number of deep scenes Reid's Ben has had with Shirley, that's true. It's understandable Shirley would have little to do with Ben after Heather although they were very close before that going back to 2007/8 even before she was with Phil. Kathy is back now though so I think she'll obviously overtake both being his real mum. Quote:
She took him to the Vic to welcome him to the family even though Shirley and Phil plotted to ruin Sharon.

I thought this about Sharon and Ben too, and I remember Ben initially came back to stop Phil marrying Sharon. I don't think Ben and Sharon are 'close,' they have built up a rapport over the last year but I wouldn't say they have a huge bond or anything. Well, not that I have seen.

It's nothing we haven't seen before. She is another early Janine/Mandy/Lola/Stacey.

Why does it surprise some that Sharon is close to Ben or not, she's he step mum, she been living with him for near 2 years they both having to deal with Phil's drama, she best friends with his brother, it's not like she some stranger, you marry someone you take on their family too.

Ben's been closer to Shirley over the years although they've shared fewer scenes since 2014 for obvious reasons.
It's nothing we haven't seen before. She is another early Janine/Mandy/Lola/Stacey. I agree. I was just saying in another thread that I don't understand why they have to portray all teens the same way. Rebecca seems to be the exception. Quote:
Maybe because she's going to get sl for adults aka having sex with Jay.
