Have those that missed the 10.30pm episode last night now missed out on half the story?

I thought the 10.30pm last night was tuesday episode. but apparently not.

Surely those who didnt know/ didnt see/ or kids or the elderly who only see the 1.45pm or 5.30pm episode will feel like theyve missed half the plot?

Also, if you have Neighbours on series link will it have recorded the 10.30pm episode last night? i have her sky box on series link for Neighbours for her.

From what I've read, the death of Josh is going to be shown again in today's episode. It will just be shortened.

Channel 5 may have added it to five demand, so check it out on your sky catchup box

No, today's episode is the aftermath of last night's episode. Josh's death might be in the ''previously on Neighbours'' clips though.

Having watched it I am puzzled why they did it at all, anyone missed it will have missed genuinely the best acting I have seen on neighbours in years.

I dont mind an extra episode but all the 5.30pm episodes are billed as Neighours:Hotel Horror Week , yet the 10.00pm last night was billed as Neighbours:Who Dies?. so when i seen that on the EPG i just thought it was a story so far etc type thing.

Luckily i flicked over just to see.

The 10.30pm episode last night wasnt that graphic that it had to be shown after 10.00pm? have you seen Emmerdale or Eastenders? and what they get away with at 7.30pm and their daytime repeats?

The first 20 minutes or so of the 10pm one was exactly the same as the 5.30pm episode last night.

Why did they put it as a 1hr show when first 30mins was a repeat of the earlier ep? Last 30 though was great although wasn't a surprise it was Josh.

The second half of the 10pm episode was originally produced as an hour special with Tuesday's episode - this is how it aired today in Australia (Josh's death and Sarah's return). But, C5 wanted to show more blood (which many fans usually complain that is missing), so Josh's death was refilmed and merged wth Monday's episode to create their hour special. Ratings rise, these episodes always work.

I think the whole thing has being poorly handled by channel 5's crass scheduling.

Surely 8pm Tuesday would have been good to show an hour long Neighbours.

Yes, I (somewhat crossly - looking forward to this "hour special") switched off about 22:05 because it was the same episode as earlier on, assuming 22:30 was the following episode which I'd watch the next day as usual. Not the only broadcast of the critical unfolding of the whole story. I hope to catch up but C5, by not clearly explaining what they're doing, have ruined what were supposed to be key moments - obviously seeing the next ep. first just rushed through everything. (And surely there are some who won't even realise they've missed it!)

That makes sense now.

There are two different hour long specials.

Our one is Monday's regular episode + 30 minutes.

Australia's special is the above 30 minutes + Tuesday's regular episode.
