iPad Help!
Master Ozzy

My Mum has an iPad which is linked to her Apple ID. She uses the iPad, but so does my Dad and a few other people. She's just bought the new iPhone SE and when setting it up it asked for her Apple ID. The thing is though, whenever she receives a text on her iPhone, it's also going to the iPad which means everyone can see it. Is there a way to sort this out? Also, when she got the iPhone it was showing missed calls on it but she had never received any as it was a new phone...when I went into it it turned out they were missed Face Time calls from the iPad. Basically, the iPhone and iPad seem to be synched.

Your Mum/You needs to go into settings on the iPhone. Then go into Phone. Under calls on other devices you need to toggle off allows calls on other devices.

For messages, on the iPhone go into settings, then go into text message forwarding and toggle off the iPad.

Thank you. Just tried this but it's still not working properly. I had to actually sign out of iMessage via the iPad settings in order to stop texts being sent to both the iPhone and iPad. Also, whenever the iPad receives a Face Time Call, the iPhone also rings. It's the same Apple ID for both devices...is there a way to just completely separate/unlink both devices but keep the same Apple ID?
