This is a weird story from the Telegraph, usually a fairly reliable paper...
Something has been spotted swimming up the River Thames...

As far as I am concerned, this is absolute proof.

You may as well close this thread right now. There's nothing more to discuss.

Me too. And if anyone suggests there is a reasonable, believable, alternative explanation well, frankly they must be insane.

Whistling, looking skywards to avoid eye contact, and trying to look nonchalant with hands in pockets...

It's too late. Once you saw this thread, men in black suits had your IP address, looked up your name and address in the illuminati database and are flying to your address in triangle ships derived from crashed UFO tech.

Prepare to be mindwiped!*

*Then you can read the Daily Mail all day long and not have any sense that anything is wrong.

Nice one, though I was more worried by the other contributors to this thread!

Don't worry. Just accept it, like I did. I read the Daily Mail all the time now. There's nothing wrong with that.

There's far too much political correctness about though...

If it pops it's head up, will the reaction be a) Screaming, horror and panic, b) "Oh dear, that looks a bit ropy" or c) giggling and a mass outbreak of Brian Conley impressions...."It's a puppet!"

I love the story and wouldn't change a minute of it.

Terror Of The Zygons is one of my Top Ten Who stories. Love it to bits.
Imagine if a real life Loch Ness Monster was really discovered but it looked a bit crap and puppet-y. That'd be funny...
No?
Just me then?
Hey ho....

That's the best footage I've ever seen of nessie... makes all the loch ness ones look naff!
And the worst thing is, in this post photoshop age, there is literally no way to tell whether it's real or not. I can see a definite wake of something moving along the water in the first section... Cynics head - some editing with the same view before the boat came along, and some distortion tools judiciously applied. Slightly less cynical head.... Another whale has got lost and is heading for Kew... Even less cynical head? Its a dinosaur.

That's all very well, but if we're all in this wretched computer game thing, what about about the children!?

I mean, who cares about the children!? That's what I want to know!!!

It's political correctness gone mad, I tell you!

To be honest I'd rather believe it's a submarine than the monster judging by that footage.

This has serious implications for the dating of the UNIT stories...
