Same here and ditto re Caroline. I thought both of them would be hard as nails frankly given the jobs they do but both came over as really genuine people who fell in love with dancing.

I expected to like Hairy Biker Dave but found him creepy and I didn't expect to like Mark Benton but fell a little bit in love with him, especially after this ...

Thanks for that. I had forgotten about Mark Benton, a s..... for punishment.
Really gave ( more like threw ) everything. Another person who enjoyed the strictly experience.

The one I started off liking and ended up disliking was Caroline Flack

vice versa

The one I never thought I would like at all was Judy Murray who I found to be a lovely warm person

He was hilarious - it's funny how often the dancers who aren't as technically good as the others (she understated a tad) can be way more entertaining.

So true. No sob stories or manipulation, just there to enjoy and entertain. We should have more of those than the ones who want to update their CV.

Yes whilst I really think for most celebrities doing Strictly is a career boosting opportunity, the ones who are the most likeable are those who truly fall in love with dancing. I think Mark Benton had the best fun, whilst trying his hardest, and came over as a thoroughly likeable person. As you say, the blatant publicity seekers cheapen the show and I hope the BBC realise that and give some serious thought to the 2016 celebrities. Mark Wright was the beginning of the dodgy "I will sell my soul" types and I worry it might continue.

Just a tad But his partnership with Iveta was brilliant.

Jeremy won me over with his Cha Cha to 'September' Starting the weekend singing this 'Ba de ya, say do you remember, ba de ya, dancing in September . . . '

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcvW...&nohtml5=False

And his Salsa to Thriller

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kxi...&nohtml5=False

Love the side by side sections in both He really did fall in love with dancing didn't he.

Also as a follow up to Zoe's Tango I have to link her Quickstep which I was so excited to find as searched for it years ago and couldn't

Brilliant! Your mission Ochre, should you choose to accept it, is to find Flavia and Jimi's Charleston which I have searched endlessly for and not found

I'd gladly accept any mission that involves searching for dance clips and some Strictly nostalgia but unfortunately I can't find it either They danced it to 'Do your thing' didn't they, ahhhhh when Peter and Janette danced their Charleston to it last series I was thinking 'someone else danced to this and I loved it but who', Jimi and Flavia thank you!

I've just really enjoyed watching Jimi and Flavia's Foxtrot to 'Fever' that was my favourite of theirs

Sadly I think that clip may have disappeared forever and yes it was to "Do Your Thing". One of my very favourite dances. Their Foxtrot was brilliant as well. I loved their partnership and I am so glad they've had a genuine "happy ever after".

It's a real shame when there are dances you loved you can't find to watch back, I felt the same about those dances of Zoe's until I discovered they'd been posted up since I last searched.

Jimi and Flavia are a lovely couple, what a great story they have to tell about how they met dancing together on Strictly.

As much as I hate to admit it, (since Peter is not my cup of tea) is that in watching Flavia and Jimi's Charleston, Peter and Janette's is the superior dance. Inevitable comparison since they used the same music.

I really enjoyed Peter and Janette's Charleston as well, I think theirs and Aliona and Jay's were the best of the series. I tried to like Peter but he was a bit faux for my liking.

Oh I adored Sophie's and have watched that one again and again. Caroline said that Charleston was one of the reasons she wanted to do the show. I loved Sophie's Paso as well.

Jamelia's was much better than I remembered I have to say.

Loved the Sophie EB's Charleston - apart from some of the hestitations around the earlier lifts it is perfect !

She was so graceful

Thank you for the links

I remember Caroline saying that and I enjoyed her Charleston too. Thanks for posting the link for Sophie's Paso, haven't watched it back in quite a long time, great music, dramatic and she looks amazing

My two favourites of Sophie's behind her Charleston were her Viennese Waltz to 'My Favourite Things'

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_UM6zGOcNs

And her Blackpool Quickstep to 'The Lady is a Tramp'

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7mSt6C1WSo

I loved Sophie and Brendan's partnership. "This girl" . . . "I'm 34 Brendan"

I thought it was Jamelia's best dance although her Blackpool Quickstep was very good as well.

Sophie's Charleston performance was amazing for only Week 2, shame they finished fourth in the final and didn't get to dance it a second time. Then again it was such a magic moment, hard to recreate. Sophie looks like an art deco figure in her Charleston costume, such a naturally graceful and beautiful lady.

Absolutely. One of my favourite celebs - to use a bit of a naff word she was classy. Loved her relationship with her husband, sons and her mum as well. A truly loving and genuine family

I'd forgotten their Salsa, brilliant thank you

Yes you laugh with him and enjoy his enjoyment of the dance. Iveta was so clever with her choreography for Mark, loved all the humorous touches she put in.

This is good as well. Fun routine. Iveta was way better with him then the male model/rugby player she had the following year.
