Festival Fashion
It's music festival season! I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where we can all share the best fashion ideas, photos, tips, products and offers for festivals this summer.

My festival tips are: a really nice, fashionable, decent pair of sunglasses. A fashionable raincoat...Topman have a couple of nice ones at the moment. Definitely a couple of nice hats...my hair is always an absolute state by the end of a festival. I'm a guy and always have my hair quite short before I go off to a festival so that it's a bit easier to manage. Definitely wet wipes. Also, we always take breast feeding bags (get them in Boots) and fill them with vodka...they're easy to stuff down your trousers/in your bra and smuggle into the arenas at festivals which only allow alcohol at campsites.

I generally wear jeans tucked in my wellies, any old top and an army surplus rain poncho.

Festival Fashion Advice for Women
1. Wear flat shoes. - trainers, doc martins, boots, flip flops 2. Avoid heavy jackets and bulky clothing - you'll end up carrying it around. 3. Avoid skirts. Wear jeans or shorts instead. Bootleg, bell bottoms, cut-offs, pedal pushers etc. 4. Carry a small lightweight bag to hold your mobile, cash and makeup essentials 5. Pack a hat to block the sun. A wide-brimmed, floppy hat is always a good idea. 6. Sunglasses are also an essential. ![]() Best summer trends for 2016 Keep adding your tips to this thread. And, ask questions. |

Last time I went I wore ex-army paratrooper boots, a Salvation Army coat, a holey jumper and black jeans. The girls wore pretty much the same if I remember correctly.

If you are attending a festival, such as Download, where metal or rock bands are performing, an old school T-shirt with the band logo is ideal.
This quote made me laugh from the "Festival Fashion Advice for Women", it is so clichéd and so typical of a fashion magazine. If you are going to Download and need advice from a fashion magazine then you really shouldn't be going to Download.

Seems to be a popular look for girls!
![]() Mind you, Glastonbury was like a swamp that year; it would be hilarious to see some of the posters in this thread coping in those conditions.

The last festival I went to I spent 4 days in woolly jumpers and a cagoule. Even though it was August it was freezing and Leeds always comes with rain guaranteed. I think I gave up caring what I looked like after the first 10 minutes of swamp life.
Even though it seems to be a no no further up in the thread I prefer skirts/dresses as I would much rather have soggy tights than soggy trousers/jeans. |

When I went to Leeds a few years ago, bandana's were a massive thing. Lucky, I packed mine just in case.
If you want to be particularly unbearable, ladies - get a flower crown. A festival staple of years past, this year they are getting bigger and better. The intention is to fashion a Marge Simpson hairdo, but from flowers. |

Speaking of loo's - the best invention I saw last year was that somebody had fashioned a temporary toilet seat out of cardboard and wrapped a black bin bag around it, for their cheeks only.
Genius. |

I managed to conceal several gym pouches filled with whisky into the arena, I had my mackintosh rolled up in there and a jumper etc. Although I only took that for one day - the rest of it I had my money and phone in my pocket. |

Is this a fashion accessory or a method of concealing drugs?
