CCTV on Tablet

Need some help, I have a oldish Marplin CCTV camera, it is five years old but produces good images.

Problem I have it is wireless, sends its signal to a unit that then you plug into a computer and you can watch and record your images, but it is not so practical and the computer consumes a fair bit of electricity.

Bought a recorder but i can not get it to work with the recorder as the usb link does not work and I can not get a AV to video lead that works.

So was thinking tablet, either Android or Windows,

Any suggestions please

Is the CCTV system IP based?

A Windows tablet is a 'PC' so as long as you can get Windows 10 drivers for it, it should work.

My Windows tablet a Linx 1010 has USB ports. I recently plugged a USN endoscope into it and it didn't need any drivers or software. The camera/video recorder app just gave me three options instead of two. Front, Rear and USB camera.
You can also add a microSD card or USB stick or hard drive for extra recording capacity if you needed. No idea if the camera cuts off after an hour or anything but would be easy to check.

I know the Linx tablet has mythical qualities, but there would be a driver for your endoscope; either built into Windows or more likely downloaded automatically from the Internet.

Back to the OP, you won't know if your USB gadget will work until you try.

You are technically correct. the best kind of correct. I should have said it didn't need me to install anything, and it didn't download any unless it somehow did it without any network connection.
