Just use the smallest SIM and place in an adaptor (costs pennies or free) when you need to use in another phone which requires the larger SIM.

thanks. never knew such thing existed! do you think the o2 shop will have them along with a demonstration ? as one would need to get a nano sim and then put in the adapter to make it a micro when switching to android phone anyway is that right?

Like you said you just get a nano SIM from o2 and then put it in the adapter to work on your Android phone. And most phones are going to nano size SIMS now so would expect anytime you were to get a replacement main phone it would need a nano SIM anyway.

Nano sims are awful and are best avoided.

Why's that? Aren't all these SIMs exactly the same, except the excess plastic removed? Although I wouldn't recommend it for most people, you can even cut them yourself, or get a cutter tool.
