DIY shellac nails - feasible?
I've had shellac nails for about 2 years now, and am considering buying a curing lamp & varnishes so I can do my own. Has anyone else tried this, and what are the pitfalls (eg - how can you tell you're buying genuine shellac varnish? There are many sites selling fake shellac).
Any shellac tips please? |

Bit of a late reply but I believe there is only 1 UK distributor of Shellac (Sweetsquare I think) and they will not sell to anyone who hasn't done the Shellac training with CND. Anything you see for sale online or in stores is likely to be fake as CND only deal with salons and professionals.

MissCharley - I think you're right, I've tried one website which sent what seems to be a genuine bottle (according to the advice on Ebay about spotting fakes) - but I've ordered a few more bottles since and they seem to be about 50% real and 50% fakes. With the training on Sweet Squared starting at £300, they can forget that - I'll stick with the fake shellac! It's annoying I can't access the genuine CND shellac, but they do make you jump through hoops for it.
I'll try sensationail as well - thanks Jo09.
