Big Finish Special Offer
Big Finish have a special offer running until noon on Monday to celebrate Peter Davison's birthday. They've discounted some of his stories to £5, including:
1001 Nights Fanfare for the Common Men! The Emerald Tiger The Jupiter Conjunction The Butcher of Brisbane Eldrad Must Die! The Lady of Mercia Prisoners of Fate I just wondered if any of your good people who listen to more Big Finish than I could recommend any of these stories (I'll probably only buy one of them). Alternatively they're also offering the Paul McGann story, the Grand Theft Cosmos for £2.99 this month, although the write up of that one didn't really appeal to me. |

Have a look at the Time Scales website (http://thetimescales.com/) which has listener ratings and reviews of all the Big Finish releases. Personally, I enjoy the anthologies and anything featuring Nyssa, so out of that lot would go for 1001 Nights.

It may have been just my bad luck, but the first review on that site I happened upon (top of the shown reviews, "Quinnis") could have done with someone to proofread it. It doesn't bode well for the quality of opinions it publishes.

I quite liked Grand Theft Cosmos myself. I'm not a huge fan of Lucie Miller but it was definitely one of her finer moments.
Though, I wouldn't recommend it to somebody looking for a story or two on sale: the Eighth Doctor series is something best experienced start to finish. |

I would have taken up the offer, but the Big Finish Audios don't really interest me.
Yes, a few have in the past, but for the most part, they haven't. The only ones that I have bought in the past are: Energy of the Daleks The Dalek Contract and The Final Phase (had to buy these separately. Couldn't get both together as one 2 CD set. Had to wait over a month before I could find out the end of the story )Her Final Flight (with Colin Baker) Bloodtide (with Colin Baker) The Rani Elite Blood of the Daleks Parts 1 and 2 (had to buy these separately too. )May get Eldrad Must Die. Not sure yet. It would be the only one out of the list that seems to interest me.
