New Customer EE

Hi,

I have just signed up via Mobile Phones Direct onto EE. £19.99 for 16GB with £96 Cashback plus £10 with TCB. Works out at £11.15p/m which is great! Just realised though that through work I can get the £19.99 with a 20% discount, so not great now but would be in future. If in 12 months I wanted to take advantage of that would EE consider me a new customer as I signed up via MPD?

If not this is still the best deal over 2yrs even (only just)....as long as I remember to send the bills every 3 months....

No, if you an existing EE customer how do you think you can you be classed as a new customer?

If you wanted a new customer deal in 12 months you would have to leave EE with a PAC and then return to EE with another PAC.

Buying through MPD doesn't get you EE Extra I believe, so if you're going to Europe a lot, it's better to go direct to EE.

As for the cashback, add google calendar reminders on the billing dates to remind yourself to upload the bills.

Thanks for your replies. I wondered as I am a "customer" of MPD in theory, it worked many years ago going from a provider from a 3rd party.

Good tip about the calender entries, I have tended to avoid such deals in the past but it's worth it for this one.

The deal says "Double Speed" and elsewhere on the site there is a connection between double speed and the extra benefits...I'll check with them next week anyway.

If I can't get a good deal after 12 months (or if the price goes up to £34.99 as is speculated about this deal I may well have to leave and come back.....

No, your contract is with EE, MPD are just an agent for EE selling you access to the EE network.

You become a customer of EE as soon as you sign up via MPB. It has always worked that way. Well, at least since the 1990's.
