He is lodging with Fiz and Tyrone, why was he not staying at Maria's flat when she was away at her parents, I guess the flat was empty all that time .

Corrie are obsessed with lodgers.
While I can just about overlook the Luke situation, it is ridiculous that Sean has made no move to get out of Eileen's house yet.

Yes it's so annoying. It's like the writers just forget about who is living where and only churn out scripts.
They could have 'long term' story writers and then 'weeklies' - teams of people who just write dialogue. I dunno, it's very annoying. Who's in Julie and Brian's flat now?

I'd sooner sleep in a pig sty than Tirrone's disgusting unhygienic hovel.

I said the other day, considering he pays rent you would think they would maintain a decent level of cleanliness. sure turning the hovel into a scrapyard is not the kind of standard most would aim for

But if Luke complained vile Fiz would force Tyrone to sack him, and then take pleasure in making the poor man move out, and sleep on the cobbles.

I'm surprised they haven't caught salmonella off those worktops.

The whole Luke living with Fiz and Ty is ridiculous. 3 adults and 2 kids cooped up in that pokey house. Surely Luke would have found a place of his own by now?

They say Orp's illness was something never before observed in humans, and was believed to be caught from a giant mutant rodent festering somewhere in all the filth.

You would think with the Murder rate increasing massaivley over the past Decade in weatherfield, the rental prices would have dropped.

Good point, although Sally's conservatory will be keeping prices at a premium surely?😉

Yes, and her husband's thriving businesses in transportation and vintage glass.
Speaking of who lives where, does Sophie live with Tim and Sally now or still with Kevin?

😂😂😅

I think Sally and Kevin have both agreed to share custody of the 20 odd year old Sophie.😂
She actually might just have two bedrooms, across the road from each other😂

I do not get this Tyrone storyline, he owns half the garage for f sake, just moved into bigger premises, but you never see him work there, Just Kevin and Sophie, have I missed something that he doesn't own half.

He should have come nowhere near, having every resident feeling sorry for him, by giving them all there junk.

Tyrone only has a stake in the original garage, the new one is all Kevin. I think he offered Ty a chance to go in with him but he couldn't afford it.
But yes, he does have a share in his garage, Fiz is working again and they have Luke's rent. I hate the storyline as I can't stand either of the them!

That place looks so damp I'm more surprised they haven't caught a salmon.

Why would a single bloke pay money to live in that filthy , stinking hovel, sharing with two young kids as well, just doesn't make sense? What does he get for his money, does Fiz serve him up the disgusting cheap food that she's been reduced to buying , as their skint?

Not only that , where does he sleep, remember when Ty said he wanted the loft conversion done so that the girls could have a room each, but it didn't go ahead , yet now there seems to be a bedroom for Luke? Unless , they've put a bed in the front room, but the last time we seen it it was nicely furnished (that was when Kirsty was there), I doubt it will still be like that, with manky Fiz running the place.

Joint custody. Nobody wants her full time.

It's probably far cheaper than him renting a house himself, so he's prepared to put up with some dirty walls and floors. He probably buys his own food. After all, the residents are always in the cafe, Bistro, kabab shop, etc.. even when their skint.

The girls won't have a room each... so Luke sleeps in the spare room.

This just stinks of Corrie and its current state. They have no grasp on their characters, their motivations or even what 'Coronation Street' is actually meant to be.

As you've said, I do not believe for one second that a grown man like Luke who is working full-time (not forgetting the constant overtime that's always on offer) would want to live in a skanky, cramped terraced house with two small children and their even more childish parents. He could easily rent a flat in and around Coronation Street, there's always something readily available. From the top of my head (having not watched Corrie for ages) one of the Kabin flats is free as is Janice's old flat above what is now the community centre. There's also Lloyd's old flat above the cab office - who lives there?

Or, the writers could be REALLY original and have Luke rent one of the houses on Mawdsley Street. Imagine that?! Much fanfare was made of the Mawdsley Street back yards and house backs being built onto the new set but we've seen nothing of them. Instead we've just had more and more characters crammed into the ever-expanding houses on Coronation Street.

Garbage.

When will someone at ITV realise just how insular, inbred and incestuous Coronation Street has become? It's small things like Luke shacking up at No.9. that undermine the whole show for me. That may sound an extreme thing to say, but it's true. Coronation Street is now just about a bunch of people who happen to be in the same proximity as one another. The characters have no depth or motivations for anything that they do. It's like a third rate puppet show.

Are the rents not cheap up north, I've seen a few listings for housing that cheaper then renting one room in South London.

I still want to understand why the likes of Beth, Kirk and Craig (a teenage boy) are living in Chesney and Sinead's house, which surely must only have two rooms? And I see Ozzy the dog made an appearance the other night. We are meant to believe Ozzy has been staying in that house yet not been noticed.

Yes please bring in Mawdsley Street. Rosamund Street has now been completely changed where it ends there, I thought with the new set they would have added another street.

It would of been good if they had extent the set and included more streets with more houses.
