Well, this may backfire, but I'm going to choose tactically. Jess & Matt, Andi & Alex, etc. will likely get through by vote, but there's this one act that really excites me, and although they may have been dull tonight, I have some great ideas for them. I am giving the fast pass to DTwinz

Lucy O'Byrne

Lucy, the opera lady of team Ethan, what a way that was to start! Your tone and vocals were absolutely beautiful. You captured the songs emotion and sent shivers down all our spines, I really felt what you were singing. I also love how Ethan is mixing it up too, by instead of giving you classical opera and having every week the same, he's handing out musical opera too. My one critique is that this is more of a closing performance than an opening performance, but that's just a nitpick, and not even Ethan's fault! Excellent job, Lucy, I need to see you in the lives.

Emily Middlemas

Hmm, Emily, not too sure what to think. Technically, everything was perfect, from the vocals, performance, and song choice. But in a way it was almost too perfect, if that makes sense. The song choice felt very safe for your style, and dare I say it, slightly boring. It was great technically but it just fell flat.

Caitlyn Shadbolt

Well, Caitlyn, nice to meet you. The song choice was good, so was the performance and overall it was nice. But the thing is, it was just nice, and not mind blowing. However, I'll accept the fact that it's an early stage. But, my main fear is is that you'll get forgotten and won't get through. We'll see, because you have so much potential. Good luck!

Fely Irvine

Fely! Wow! Incredible song choice! You really got the party started! It was fun, upbeat, and you nailed every single split second. Absolutely flawless, and one hundred percent deserving of that fast pass!

Well Lucy, it's no surprise that you excel at opera music and this cover that you sung with was no exception, very good start for the category.

Emily Middlemas

Ahhh Emily, the adorable Scottish lass. I have to slightly agree with Nic here, it was indeed quite safe, but at the same time I did enjoy the acoustic arrangement, because sometimes, less is more.

Caitlyn Shadbolt

Ahhh Caitlyn, the young rising country star. I really like the song here and it was good and suited to your voice. But in the shows to come if you make it through, I hope you get brought of your comfort zone.

Fely Irvine

Woohoo! Fely, that was full on up tempo and it got me dancing away! So far, I think you could be the best of the six girls, I already love the song choice and I didn't want it to stop. Best performance so far.

Jax

Now that's what I'm talking about! You're already shown what a strong rock chick you are. This was just like okay, you know what you're doing on stage and you're showing us what you're all about. I enjoyed this rocky performance.

I think we've saved the best girl for last. India, that was simply beautiful and what a way to present yourself on the first show. Your voice was clear and on point, it allowed me to hear how much potential there is. I think it'll be either you or Fely who should earn the free pass.

As I said in my previous post. Fely and India have earned the right to a free pass.
