These are the odds for who will win BBC's Sports Personality Of The Year award 2016 with Skybet (other bookies are available) who do you think will win it?

Anthony Joshua 4/1
Jamie Vardy 9/2
Jessica Ennis-Hill 8/1
Danny Willett 8/1
Katarina Johnson-Thompson 9/1
Andy Murray 10/1
Laura Trott 16/1
Mo Farah 16/1
Lewis Hamilton 20/1
Bradley Wiggins 25/1
Harry Kane 28/1
Adam Peaty 33/1
Dele Alli 33/1
Chris Froome 33/1
Max Whitlock 33/1
Rory McIlroy 33/1
Jason Kenny 33/1
Wayne Rooney 33/1
Mark Cavendish 40/1
James Guy 40/1
Johanna Konta 50/1
Dina Asher-Smith 50/1
Greg Rutherford 50/1
Ronnie O'Sullivan 50/1
Johnnie Peacock 66/1
Nicola Adams 66/1
Amir Khan 66/1
Charlotte Dujardin 66/1
Tom Daley 66/1
Gareth Bale 66/1
Lizzie Armistead 66/1
David Weir 66/1
Joe Hart 66/1
Tyson Fury 66/1
Raheem Sterling 66/1
Daniel Sturridge 66/1
Siobhan Marie O'Connor 80/1
Jamie Murray 80/1
Dame Sarah Storey 80/1
Gary Cahill 100/1
Lee Pearson 100/1
Geraint Thomas 100/1
Phil Taylor 100/1
Joe Root 100/1
Theo Walcott 100/1
Aled Davies 100/1
Jack Wilshere 100/1
Ellie Simmonds 100/1
Gary Anderson 100/1
Gordon Reid 125/1
Jordanne Whiley 150/1
Marcus Rashford 150/1
Paul Casey 200/1
Jenson Button 200/1
Chris Robshaw 200/1
Ian Poulter 200/1
Lucy Bronze 200/1
Ben Stokes 200/1
Sam Burgess 200/1
Tai Woffinden 200/1
Eoin Morgan 500/1
Jos Buttler 500/1
Alex Hales 500/1

Personally, at the moment I think Anthony Joshua is definitely my choice but then, we don't know how the rest of the year will pan out. Could someone else come out and snatch it from him? Is it worth backing somebody else at slighty bigger odds?

It is an Olympic year so worth looking at backing some of them.

No chance unless he fights and beats Fury and Team GB have an Atlanta style disaster in Rio.

Willett is probably the only definite nominee so far this year.

If either JEH or KJT win the gold this year, I would suspect they would be favourites, JEH has had what 4 top 3's now? She's ridiculously popular with the public.

Vardy will win it if he starts for England and they make a final. He'll be nominated though regardless, and could well make top 3 for leicester's likely league win. Leicester will walk team of the year

3 nominees so far anyway in himself, Joshua and Willett. Willett's achievement happened too early in the year though, but if he features highly in a Ryder Cup win he could push hard. Another Major win/Olympic Gold and he'll win it most likely

What with Wimbledon, Euro 2016, the Olympics, Paralympics and many other events still to come then it's far too early to be placing bets.

if Vardy scores a hat-trick against Germany in the Euro final then that would be hard to beat but otherwise I suspect it will be some unexpected Olympic performance from someone most people haven't yet heard of.

Gareth Bale also could be a decent bet to be a nominee, if Madrid win CL and Wales go well at the Euros

Leicester going to walk team of the year here and I'm sure will get a special tribute on the night

Vardy a serious contender now for SPOTY winner. A decent Euros will only add to his case

Hard to see past Leicester for team of the year but not so sure about Vardy. His 11 game scoring streak was last year (some called for his nomination then), and if he and Leicester struggle next season he may already seem yesterday's news by December.

There's also a good chance our fickle media will turn on Vardy. And he'll do well to remain on the shortlist if they do, goodness knows what they'll find on him if they sink that low. At a guess his conviction for assault and slightly racist rant at a japanese bloke in a casino are just the tip of the iceberg from a man who took a while to sort himself out to become the player he is now.

I like how the token cricketers have been chucked in at the end.

Unless its an Ashes year or we actually won a World Cup doubt any cricketer would win tbh.

Be an Olympian I suspect...

It will depend on Vardy's form in the first half of next season.

And given his colourful past the slightest misstep and the press will be all over him.

Would it be any value in backing those near the top of the betting that aren't involved in the Olympics with the possibility of the games being postponed/cancelled ?

I would be surprised if any big names pulled out. So far it's just been golfers looking for an excuse not to go.

What are the chances of Andy Murray winning SPOTY for a third time in four years after his Wimbledon win

Could still win at the Olympics, US Open and outside chance of being World Number 1 by the end of the year

Where would Froone and Hamiton rank if they win the Tour De France/F1 title again?

Murray has to be favourite again .

Don't think Froome will ever be a factor no matter what he wins, people just don't think of him as British.

If Andy can get a gold (in singles or doubles) at the Olympics then he certainly would be hard to beat.

How many days in his entire life has Froome spent in Britain?

If Jessica Ennis wins another Gold, she may win because she is very popular and has been close to winning it. It would take an outstanding performance at the Olympics for anyone to win this year as I think Athletics especially has been tainted. If Hamilton wins the FI championship he might sway it on motorsport fans but reading many forums his popularity even amongst his own fans isn't at the height it was.

Could Andy win again, he must be in with a chance but if he won another Gold medal and did actually play and win the Davis Cup again, there would be no one could stop him.

Exactly. You'd expect an Olympian to win in an Olympic year and Murray would top any other gold medal winner with his Wimbledon title already in the bag.

Not many and of course Hamilton often lives abroad now so guess that dilutes their popularity.

I think Hamilton the racer is very popular as a winner but as a person not so?
