The BBC will want to give the Lifetime Achievement award to someone that they put together a good VT package of, and snooker is one of the few sports still left to them of which they can do so.
So Steve has a great chance of getting it due to that reason alone, nrvermind his great career that he has had.
It is one reason why for example, he would be ahead in any order of say Kobe Bryant, who has just recently retired after a tremendous career both at Olympic level and at club level.
But alas, the BBC don't have any or much footage of him in action, so he will not be as high up the pecking order as Steve might be.
