Andy Murray's wrapped it up.

He still has the US Open, World Tour Finals and Davis Cup to come but he's done enough already.

Was testing enough for Djokovic and Nadal.

Djokovic had a wrist injury and nadal has been absent for the last 2 years , fair play to Murray but a easy ride at his level and just out if interest who loses there place in the Davis cup squad when Andy dips back in for the finals ? Does Jamie double partner get benched ? Just saying like .

Djokovic has been having a easy ride for the last couple of years or so. Old man Federer and Mauresmo's Andy Murray mostly his best competition. Still doesn't change that he is a legend of the game though.

Nonsense that he was injured as well in my opinion. The guy was supposedly injured against Querrey, then came back and won some m1000 not too long ago (in which you didn't hear a murmur of him being injured) and now he's injured again? Hahahahaha... this guy is an even bigger faker than Nadal, who at least has missed slams due to injury.

Delpo is back from injury, hence his low ranking. Djokovic won the Canada Masters the week before, so can't be that hurt. Nadal withdrew half-way through this year's French Open, and won a Masters tournament a couple of weeks before that.

You are advertising your ignorance by 'Just saying like'.

Former no.4 in the world prior to career threatening injuries.

Even money seems a good price:

Andy Murray still heads the betting after adding a second Olympic gold medal to the second Wimbledon title he won earlier this summer, and is now even-money with Sky Bet to become the first man to win the award three times.

Murray was a 5/2 shot before his Wimbledon success, and Rio glory has seen him harden as favourite from 13/8.

But the stars of Rio are massed behind him.

Max Whitlock's sensational golden double in gymnastics has seen him slashed form 33/1 on Saturday to just 6/1 for the award. He was a 66/1 shot when the market opened in December last year.

Track cyclist Jason Kenny was 50/1 before the Games. But after securing his second gold in Rio and fifth overall, beating team-mate Callum Skinner to add individual sprint gold to the team success, he is now 9/1 fourth favourite. He could yet be cut further with the unpredictable keirin offering a possible sixth gold medal, which would take him level with Sir Chris Hoy's haul.

Mo Farah is 4/1 second favourite after retaining his 10,000m title as he bids for a 'double-double' in the long-distance events. He is 1/6 to take home his fourth Olympic gold in the 5,000m.

Justin Rose, who won golf gold on Sunday, is still available at a three-figure price for Sports Personality with Sky Bet, while the most prominent non-Olympian in the betting is Real Madrid and Wales hero Gareth Bale at 12/1.

It was looking like Leicester city was going to win team of the year at 1-10 but now if team GB Finnish 2nd in the medals table then they will more likely pip Leicester to that award

Under the rules Team GB aren't supposed to be eligible but that was set aside in 2012, not sure if the BBC would do it again though.

WOW - you really feel Murray over MO ? 2012 super Saturday passed over - do you really feel he will be passed over in 2016 ?
MO being mo farah?

I think a lot of people see distance running as a purely African sport now.
I think the BBC will push it, but I don't think he will win.

I wonder who will won the young sports person award, and the other awards, away from the main and team awards?

Any potential names that have come up for them? Coach of the year for example, overseas award?

I did think serena Willian's originally but now it's 50/50 between phelps and bolt in my opinion and I do believe Chris Coleman will win coach of the year as for the main award it's a split between Murray /farah and because Murray has won it twice in 3 years I'm going to say if farah wins the 5000 then that's your winner

Well who i want to win is Mo but if you gave me £20 and said to put it on somebody it would have to be Andy Murray. Wimbledon is the key difference. I know he has won it twice before but he has had a great year. Mo is so unlucky to have won what he has and never being a serious SPOTY contender
