People are forgetting that Murray STILL has the US Open and the Davis Cup this year. Wins either of those (or even both) and this is over.

Can anyone explain why Trott is more revered that Kenny, even though she's won less?
I expect she will take over from JEH as the golden girl of British sport, being half of a power couple will make her a sponsors dream. |

Yep, and you can add Alistair Brownlee to the growing list as well. I think any non-Olympian is going to have to pull off a huge shock to be in with a chance.
Interestingly, Mo is at 5/1 with the 5000m final still to go. Worth a an e/w bet.....

I think the betting market is anticipating if he wins the 5000 and if so will probably go joint favourite, the others odds have drooped and drifted , but the odds for Murray and mo has stayed solid for a while , I'm sure it's a market the bookies don't want to get wrong
![]() He is the massive favourite and this is already factored into the SPOTY betting. If it wasn't then no one would back him to win the 5000m, they would just back him to win SPOTY at 5/1 and lay him at the evens you are suggesting. You don't go from 5/1 to evens by winning an event you are the 1/5 favourite for. He may come in a little, 7/2 or to a best priced 4/1. |

Mo's odds for SPOTY will barely change if he win's the 5000m.

Also Danny Willet went from 100/1 to 4/1 and he won just 1 event !! In fact he went clear favourite for winning just 1 event BUT unfortunately for Danny backers he's now 100/1 again

He's actually 4/1 on most books and he was 20/1 Two weeks ago and a week before the 10,000 he was 9/1 and after he was 7/2- 4/1 and now around this price I personally believe that Murray and mo will be 15/8 joint favourites IF MO wins the 5000 - fingers crossed because I lumped on at 20/1
![]() ![]() What price was Mo to win the 10,000m? |

I didn't - it says clearly 15/8
obviously you have a problem with your sight ? And your attitude !I don't know where I got evens from, my apologies. But Andy won't be drifting out to 15/8 if Mo wins the 5,000. He'll remain around evens.

Where does it say he was 15/8? I was looking for the price Mo was in the 10,000m.

I'm sure they will be close on the night and if mo is tipped to get a knighthood in the new year I'm sure the BBC will push for there new golden boy ,he will more likely end up one of there commentators in the future , he's quite chatty so that's a given

Back in January or February somewhere on on here I wrote "Maddie Hinch" - and she's won the Gold for GB virtually single-handed in a team event, and has been superb throughout.
Won't be her, though

Personally believe in an Olympic year they should do an award for outstanding contribution outside of the Olympics and inside the Olympics. But that might be just watering down awards for the sake of it.

![]() If its Leicester the non-football fan will cry "typical football getting its own way" and if its Team GB as a whole or one team like Hockey some will say "how about the other fine successful sports"? This award isn't voted for by the public is it... |

The team of the year shouldn't be team gb should it?. It's hardly fair, and besides which individually there are more losers than winners.

Nicola Adams providing another shortlist headache.
And if there was an award for most dramatic interview, hands down winner, Latalo Muhammed! Move over Greg Rutherford, that's how to cry over not getting gold with style

![]() https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2016/aug/14/xxxx He's a foreign born Muslim with a coach accused of doping. Sadly that means there are a lot of people who will never vote for him no matter how many gold medals he wins. |
