The news that Liz had died was breaking news on both the BBC News channel and Sky News
I know that, all I'm saying is that I think that by comparison it would have been a bigger mainstream shock headline had 40-something-Tennant passed away early, rather than 60-something-Sladen. If anything that's a tremendous testament to her impact though... her passing was still massive news in spite of her age (even if 65 is still no age to die) and I think that's because she has a massive following from multiple generations in a way perhaps nobody else linked to Doctor Who does (except perhaps Tom Baker).

[quote=tiggerpooh;82150044]I was in shock for a few hours after. It took half an hour after I found out before I had to have a 'good' cry. All in all, it took nearly a week after her death, for it to sink in properly.

wasnt Ace supposed to come back ?

I love the 4th Doctor but agree with your description of him. The show got its warmth from the companions rather than the Doctor during his period.
!
I know its just a minor typo, but I can't help but feel tickled by the idea that once a month male Time Lords are on the blob...

Shame they did that. I've no interest in WVA whatsoever, as it's not part of the DW universe.

I still can't believe it's been 5 years. Gone too soon but not forgotten. R.I.P Lis. I still have yet to see a few more classic episodes featuring Sarah Jane. I'll watch them someday in my own time. Right now, I think I'll have another read of the Sarah Jane companion magazine.

Shame they did that. I've no interest in WVA whatsoever, as it's not part of the DW universe.
Unlike Meet Mr Smith and The Battle Of Bannerman Road, they kinda restricted themselves from revealing more info about The Thirteenth Floor because the WVA adaption was still in development at the time and they didn't want to spoil it for people. In the magazine, they said they would come back to SJA version eventually but it never happened. Even after the Wizards Vs Aliens adaption aired, they never really went back to giving details of it, probably because the adaption pretty much said it all. That being said, the episode would have really pushed the boundaries for the show.

As for the scripts you mentioned, I don't think they'll be surfacing in any other form, especially since Russell already denounced the idea of a Sarah Jane comic book. Out of all the three unmade stories, The Battle Of Bannerman Road was the only one that never actually reached script form.

It's not up to RTD, it would be BBC Worldwide's decision to licence a comic book. However, SJA was not a success in the US so I can't see Titan picking it up.
