Joint top scorers were Eugene Speed & Charlie Parr. Both hit the jackpot by tipping McManus to win 13-11 and thus earning 28 points from this fixture alone. Eugene accompanied this with double points from a Ding win (14), and 7pts each from Selby and Fu’s victories. Charlie was the same except he got Selby wrong but maxed Fu instead.
This has resulted in Charlie leaping to the top from Eugene, with a very decent lead of 16 points bearing in mind the length of the remaining matches. Still, all to play for when you factor in all the variables and bonuses.
Talking of bonuses, the answer to the round bonus of: how many frames played in total? was: 13 x 4 = 52 + 11 + 11 + 3 + 8 = 85. Well done Benson, Matt & bradybrady who got this spot on.
Finally, the other thing to mention is Darren’s record points haul of 187 points is in serious jeopardy!
