Think I'm almost there now!
52mb download is in place. I spent ages with BT support trying to get "my offers" working from MyBT but never did. Rang instead and (after 40 minutes waiting!) got BT Infinity 1 52mb, unlimited download for £12 per month on a 24 month contract. Also got £2 off BT sport for 12 months. So now paying £16 per month instead of the current standard of £32 - happy with that! Only thing I couldn't get was a free SmartHub so that wil cost £50 if I decide I need it - well, I know I don't "need it" but will probably buy one anyway!

I do a speed test and get 75meg.

What is the point of infinity 2 if you can get the speed on infinity 1?

You shouldn't be getting 75Mb. So there's a mistake somewhere, or the speed test you're using isn't accurate.

??? Think I've missed something. If you are on 1 you shouldn't be getting that.

What's your uplink speed?

I'd check your bill

That's better than infinity 2! Keep quiet and don't reboot your hub

The best offers I can get for recontracting is -

£26pm up to 52mb unlimited 18mths with free Smart Hub
£20pm up to 52mb unlimited 24mths, no new hardware.
£28.50 up to 76mb unlimited 18mths with free Smart Hub.

I'm paying £24.55 a month for Infinity 1 (38) now, so there aren't any huge incentives to recontract. They did a big sell on the Smart Hub (don't really need) and the increase to 52, but all customers should eventually get that anyway.

Existing contract is up on 22 Aug.

I would go elsewhere, i'm getting Infinity 1 52MB unlimited for £10 a month on 12 month contract,Free HH6 and a £100 reward card as a new customer.

When I cancelled under OFCOM regs, I was told I'd be charged £31 openreach disconnection but wasn't.

Then I got the £10.99 sale price with HH5, but moaned so they sent me both a HH5 and a smart hub, then a second smart hub (I have no idea why).

Rather than sell the spare smart hub, I gave it to my parents so if BT ask for it back, I'll try and explain it's gone to another long term bt customer

The cancellation and re-connected has cost me about £56 extra, but I got a £100 mastercard card and £120 quidco cashback. Why are the existing customer offers so bad?!

Hi,
has your speed dropped down from this since having it installed?
I ask as I seem to be in the same position. Infinity 1 installed yesterday and my home hub is connecting at around 78mbps down and 20mbps up

It was installed two years ago. Someone or something has made a mistake on our connections.
