I am guessing that you have not seen Jean before. She's not vile. She's just not the full shilling.

Some downright nasty comments from here tonight. Stacey was right, not the person I would expect the level of ignorance from either.

An objectively bad person, utterly rotten to the core.
Thanks. |

Destroying Stacey's childhood wasn't enough for Jean, it seems.

Even if by some miracle this was the case there really is no need for her to be so rude about it. It is quite ironic that you use that term though as presumably that is the kind of name calling Stacey was talking about that had Jean cowering afraid at home Like Stacey said it is a pity she cannot remember that and be more sympathetic.

I've not seen it tonight but Jean as always had a nasty side to her, she was awful to Stacey when she first joined.

You say you despise Jean, but what about Belinda? She was laughing when Stacey's brother said he used to be a girl. Why does Jean get all the stick.

I have always detested Jean. Her screeching voice makes me want to cut my ears off. Her character is so utterly vile, I can't understand why Stacey doesn't just bin her off.

It's a slap in Jean's face that her daughter is living with her husbands secret kids that he had whilst married to her. It was horrible of Stacey to push him on Jean. She's known him a few days, her mum is not well most of the time, she didnt have to have the brother there for lunch.

This! Jean doesn't care that Kyle is transgender, it's the fact that he is Brian's that she can't get her head around.

Anyway didn't Stacey already say that it isn't Kyle's fault that their shared father was a bad person and wasn't Jean able to forgive him but not the innocent Kyle ![]()

Characters like Jean are used to show the prejudice that exists. If everyone just accepted Kyle it wouldn't be true to life. You had Belinda smirking again a reaction that is very realistic. You had Martin asking about his bits. We know that is what folks ask as this forum was full of the same question a few weeks ago. Interesting that Martin has become friends with Kyle. Will knowing the truth impact their friendship?
Remember how Peggy reacted to Mark Fowler being HIV. She's worshipped on here but her behaviour over this was poor. Made a good storyline having such a prominent character being so prejudiced. |

Hopefully Jean does some of her screeching at the wrong person soon, a real nasty thug type who will think nothing of unleashing brutal and uncompromising punishment on her.

I used to like Jean when she was full time but they seem to go OTT with the character when she pops back for occasional visits.
